Dozens of people have been killed in northern Gaza and southern Lebanon over the weekend, and into this morning local time, as Israel intensifies its air strikes against Hamas and Hezbollah.

The UN meantime has condemned attacks on civilians after an air strike in the north of Gaza which Hamas officials say killed more than eighty people.

Israel has described the strike on the city of Beit Lahia as a "precision" attack against a Hamas terror target.
