On today's episode of To The Core, Gina is talking about the whole "I'm his better half" cliche!

Social media & televsion play such a huge role in what we are learning and how we are learning. Statistics show a HUGE incline in how society as a whole labels men as , lazy, over worked, dumb dad's who are inept and incapable of taking care of their children or themselves for that matter.

Not to mention, the hot mess mom fad!

Do you think the hot mess mom culture is something to aspire to or find entertaining? Hopefully not! A hot mess mom is defined as a relatable mom who is a total mess and her life is spiraling. Her mind feels totally frazzled and out of control.

Where do we find the humour in this? How is this entertaining to watch? We need to go back to the days where we all had roles and capabilities that were appreciated by the other half and looked at for what it is, doing our best and supporting each other while doing it.

This NEEDS to change ladies!!

On today's episode, Gina chats about why the Revitalized Sisterhood may not be for everyone.

She talks about the importance of being true to yourself, and finding a community that works best for you. That aligns with your beliefs, values and has a mission that you can resonate with.

The Sisterhood requires a certain level of accountability and commitment that some women can't quite give. Maybe they aren't there yet, or they simply can't give that. And that's ok.

Gina believes every woman should have a community of support, whether that's the Revitalized Sisterhood or another space.

The Revitalized Sisterhood is not for everyone.

Today's guest is Bathanie MacDonald. She is the Gold Star Spouse of MSG Gregory Trent, who was serving in 3rd Special Forces Group at the time he gave his life. Her current spouse, Mason (a retired KIOWA pilot who served 20 years in the Army), was likewise widowed due to suicide just four months after she was. Together, they raise their children from these previous marriages—Gwen and Eli—today having built a beautiful family from the ashes of tragedy.

While we often tiptoe around discussing these delicate matters, Beth is an open book when it comes to the struggles and triumphs of her family. She wants to talk about it, so that others will know that they are not alone.
