So many times, people seek Jesus out because they want Him to provide something specific for them.   It may be worldly things or physical comforts.  And, as Pastor John teaches today, while God is the good provider, it’s important to seek God simply because He is God.  He is your savior.  He’s so much more than a provider.  All things that you ask God for here and everything you seek after on earth will perish.  But your faith in Jesus gives you true life now and eternal life in Heaven to come.

Turn to Him.  Give Him what you have and trust Him to do the miraculous.

Jesus performed many miracles in His time on earth.  Though human, He remained divine and used his power to do the miraculous under God the Father’s direction.  However, He didn’t use miracles to show off and wow people.  Today, Pastor John explains that Jesus carefully used His miracles as a sign of who He was.  They pointed to different aspects of His divine nature.  They glorified God.  They pointed people to God Almighty so they’d believe in Him.  With each miracle Jesus fulfilled a great purpose.
