Following Jesus is costly. It requires us to give up our own preferences and align our lives with Christ. It’s only when we are willing to lose our own lives to follow Jesus that we truly gain life.

Trying to do good in our own strength causes us to live in unrest. It's only by taking up the yoke of Jesus that we find rest. No longer do we operate under our own strength; now we operate through His strength and power. The more we give ourselves to God, the more rest we find for our souls.

Jesus is the resurrection and the life. When we treat the resurrection strictly as an event, it limits Jesus and who He is today. Jesus is both the resurrection for those who are dead and the eternal life for those who will never die. It's more than just a future event, it's a Person that we can connect with!

Though we live in a world full of fear and decay, Jesus provides us with an answer through His resurrection life. Through Jesus, death has been disabled and will never hold us down. We need to stop making excuses for our decay and grab hold of the resurrection life.

We are now living in the day of surpassing and increasing glory - there is always more! We have to bring ourselves up to the level where God is right now if we want to be able to handle the ever increasing glory that’s coming.

The preached Word of God through an anointed messenger always gets a response because the Word of God judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. The key to getting more of Him is realizing that God will give His presence and power to people who are going to use it to bring His Kingdom and life.

Our church was founded on serving a God who raises things from the dead. We are a people who are unafraid, committed to God, always looking forward. Though our past made us who we are, we are moving forward with the Holy Spirit, not afraid to change and adjust to accomdate the move of God.

Frustration in our families comes from lack of submission to each other. We have to establish that we’re not going to argue over things that don’t matter. We also need to establish our lives to honor God and other people. Honoring people is what brings enjoyment in our lives because that’s how God treats us. Our children will get frustrated and rebel if we don’t train them in how life and God works. We should all have a lifestyle of continual submission and honor.

God is here to restore out hearts back to Him and each other. Whether you’re a child or parent, spiritually is more about maturity than age. We need children in order to keep the family growing, but children need to grow up. Spiritual fathers and mothers are the glue that holds the family together. They have the experiential knowledge of who Jesus is. Young warriors put their strength to Kingdom use and allow the fathers to guide and instruct them in battle. You never stop being a warrior that fights for the Kingdom of God.
