Fr. John looks to fix his golf swing with this first homily of a new message series called BACK TO THE BASICS.  The fundamentals are crucial in sports, school work and life.  Sometimes we need to go back to the basics to overcome the challenges of our world today.  This includes the basics of our faith and the mission of the Church.

What are the signs of our times and how can we live the Gospel today?  In the gospel this coming weekend Jesus talks about the end times and how we are to prepare.  Are we really living in preparation for Christ's return?

In this weekend's gospel a poor widow gives everything she has to God trusting in His grace while others have donated to the treasury out of their abundance.  What does God want?  He wants our hearts given completely to Him.  Find out how we can give more of our lives to the King of Kings!!

This weekend's gospel gets to the heart of what it is to live a full life---we need to love God with all we have and to love our neighbour as we love ourselves.  Easier said than done but if we want a grace filled life that helps change the world this is what we need to do.  We do not do this alone but together on our way to the kingdom!!
