It is the end of the year---and we celebrate CHRIST THE KING!!  The gospel shows us a very different style of a triumphant king--one who is humble, broken and condemned to die like a criminal.  Christ offers himself out of pure love to give us eternal life!!  What can this mean for us?

We are getting closer and closer to the end of the Church's liturgical year.  The readings continue to offer us pause to think and pray about heaven.  In the gospel for this weekend we are called by Christ to endure and persevere when everything seems to be falling apart around us.  Will we be faithful and ready?  Listen to find out more!!

Fr. John continues part two of this message series talking about the need to have good tires for your vehicle. He shares that there are four essential wheels for the upcoming pastoral change to gain traction and move forward. In this homily, he talks about the need for PRAYER & CONVERSION

This weekend we hear the story of Jesus and Zacchaeus.  It is a wonderful story of love, conversion and discipleship.  Will we have the courage to seek Jesus out who transforms our lives commissioning us to reach out to those in need in our world today.

Fr. John begins the sequel series called THE GAME PLAN - PART II talking about humility, discipleship and telling us that the old tv comedy CHEERS is a great model of community and family!

Fr. John concludes the message series looking at the last two Qualities of a Faithful Disciple --- INVEST and SMALL GROUPS. We need to commit ourselves to Jesus and the Church while also forming long term and short term small groups to support one another.

It is Thanksgiving weekend and we have a lot to be thankful for!!  The gospel for this weekend is all about mercy, new life and going to the fringes of society to embrace those in need.  Giving thanks to God by sharing His love is the best way to celebrate this weekend and always!!

Fr. John continues this message series focusing on two more Qualities of a Faithful Disciple - PRAYER & SACRAMENTS and SHARE & INVITE. We need to pray and celebrate the sacraments to increase our faith so that we can share our faith story with others and invite them to encounter the risen Lord in our faith community.

Increase of faith---this was asked by the Apostles to the Lord.  We too want to increase our faith but often for our own benefit.  As faithful disciples, we should do what is right because it is so---and our faith calls us to serve.  May we always have faith like Christ who was obedient even to death.  Living the gospel each day will definitely increase our faith!!
