God gave me this message from Genesis 14 where Abraham meets Melchizedek who I believe was Jesus, the Lord gave Abram the victory over some wicked kings, and Melchizedek gives Abram bread and wine and Abram gives Melchizedek a tithe a tenth of all that he had. We look into this exchange at our communion service this Sunday. Abraham recognized the victory God gave him so he signifies who gave him the victory by giving God a tenth of all he had. Though death is one of those events that many of us don't like to talk about, but unless Jesus comes back for the church first as the book of Thessalonians speaks about. But for the Christian we sorrow but not as those who have no hope because for us death transitions us into the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But it most certainly is an appointment that must be kept. So with all due respect to the family, I am releasing this recording with their permission. God used Noah in his generation to build the ark to spare his generation from the judgment of God; just as through Christ we are spared from the wrath of God today.
