A.J. Morton, of FitPro Mentorship Review, joins me this week on the show. In this episode, we talk about the origins of his Mentorship group and why it might matter not only to fellow fitness professionals but to those who hire us for professional services. This was a fascinating conversation and I think A.J. has done a fantastic job keeping this group of the highest value and caliber around.

Melody Schoenfeld returns for her 4th appearance on the show this week. You can check out episodes 88, 163 and 205 to hear her former appearances. This time, we get to chat about her new book "Diet Lies and Weight Loss Truths" which she co-authored with another veteran of this show, registered dietitian, Susan Kleiner. If you're looking for a great dive into the most popular diets out there and a very un-biased, evidence based look at what they do and don't do, Melody did fantastic work here. She also looks into the other areas of successful dieting that tend to get overlooked like: psychological impact and goal setting. This is another HIGHLY recommended read.

I am honored to welcome Coach Brendon Rearick to the show this week to chat about his brand new book "Coaching Rules". We get to touch on his fascinating story in the industry to date and the origins of his book. On the cover, are 4 bullet points that Brendon tackles in greater depth within the book. We break down each point and why they matter to coaches regardless of how long you've been in the industry. I give some more insight on that in today's episode. I also take some liberties with my most recent blog of the same title to give you some thoughts on how to make 2021 a great year for you and your health.

I have the great pleasure of welcoming Abby Langer to the show this week to talk about her upcoming book, "Good Food, Bad Diet". I was privy to an advanced copy and if you are already familiar with Abby's work, you'll know it's a great read. If not, we chat about the "core beliefs" section which comes at the beginning. Abby and I discuss the core beliefs that hold people back from realizing their goals when it comes to how they approach nutrition and how it shapes their lives. Her book comes out in January and you can preorder your copy now. This one is HIGHLY recommended!

I welcome Lift The Bar's Head of Education, Gregg Slater, to the show this week. I have been continually impressed by the work Gregg has committed to the Lift The Bar community especially since the virus has affected coaches and their clients across the globe. In this episode, Gregg and I talk about better strategies for a 30-day lockdown program and considerations for how and why to approach exercises to keep from losing ground if you can't access the gym. It would have been nearly impossible to cover the breadth of information Gregg could have discussed. I highly recommend that you check out his work, and more importantly (for the coaches), join the LTB community to see more of what we discussed in this week's show.
