Rewind to 1984

We take a look at this week in 2024 on the music and movie charts.  Who is #1?  Who cares.  We then look at the #1 song this week in 1984.  Does MJ and McCartney stay at #1 with "Say Say Say"?

Artist Spotlight:  Daryl Hall & John Oates

Also look at movies and see what is #1 this week in 2024?  Is it a remake again?  Is Hollywood out of new ideas?  Then to 2024, and review if "Terms of Endearment" holds onto #1.

This week we look at the Top 10 charts of today (quickly) and that of this week in 1984.  Some big names on top of the charts.  I also look at the weekly box office ratings of the movies.

Driving around with my kids and them putting on their music of the day led me to lecture them on how much better the music of my era was than theirs.  It is now 2024, which brings the 40th anniversary of my favorite year for entertainment 1984.  In this intro, I will give a brief description of what I think the podcast will be as we discuss the music, movies, and television of 1984.  We will look at the charts each week and see what they looked like in 1984 and discuss and share memories.  I hope you will join me for this weekly adventure.
