  • Episode 5: Are Most Americans Traumatized?

This episode examines the unique, often unrecognized form of trauma that comes as part of American life. Beyond the obvious sources of suffering such as mass shootings, racial violence, climate disasters etc., there exists a quieter, chronic strain of trauma created by the cultural, economic, and social structures of the United States.

We look at how generations were raised with emotionally distant parenting models that discouraged comfort and affection; how the nuclear family ideal created widespread isolation and loneliness; how the lack of a social safety net places millions in ongoing physiological threat; and how extreme individualism, productivity culture, and financial insecurity shape the nervous system over time. Together, these forces create an “invisible trauma” that is so normalized people rarely recognize it as trauma at all. But make no mistake, this type of trauma creates permanent changes in your body and your brain. It’s the kind of trauma we’ve been trained to neglect, and we’re too exhausted to recognize. And vast portion of Americans are living in these conditions every single day.

  • Episode 4: The Vicious Cycle of Chronic Illness

This episode examines the gradual breakdown that happens when chronic stress overwhelms the body. It explains how long-term pressure affects the immune system, leading to inflammation, changes in brain function, fatigue, pain, and loss of motivation or pleasure. The episode traces how these processes reinforce each other, creating a cycle of worsening symptoms that can feel impossible to escape.

  • When Wellness Becomes a War

In this episode, we explore the science and lived reality of allostatic load—the cumulative cost of being in survival mode for too long. Drawing on the groundbreaking work of Dr. Bruce McEwen, we break down what allostasis means, how your body adapts to stress, and what happens when there’s no chance to recover.

    You’ll learn:

    • Why stress itself isn’t harmful—but the lack of recovery is
    • The difference between everyday stress and long-term biological overload
    • How energy balance explains fatigue, burnout, and chronic illness
    • The two types of allostatic overload: depletion vs. chronic overdrive
    • Why many “wellness” routines can actually increase stress and make healing harder

With science, soul, and personal storytelling, this episode invites you to rethink what’s really going on when your body starts to break down and how it might be trying to protect you, not punish you.

  • The Lie of “Wellness”

In this episode, we unravel one of the biggest myths of modern healing: that wellness can be bought, achieved, or perfected. We’ll look at how the wellness industry, fueled by capitalism, often gaslights us into believing that we are sick because we’re not trying hard enough. That if we just bought the right supplements, stuck to the perfect routine, or manifested a better mindset, we’d finally feel better.

  • The Breaking Point

Welcome to RewirePod. In this first episode, I share the story of my own my own breaking point, my descent into chronic illness, and the surprising path that led me back to life. It wasn’t another protocol or supplement that healed me. It was pleasure. It was softness. It was savoring sunsets and slowing down long enough to feel safe again in my body.

This podcast is my offering, a gentle rebellion against the culture of burnout and self-blame. Here, I explore a new healing paradigm rooted in science and soul, where joy is medicine, rest is sacred, and healing doesn’t mean doing more, it means doing differently. I’m so glad you’re here.
