It was a bit of a break but Episode 106 of the Rey-Rey Is Fundamental podcast is here.
In this house, we talked NBA and storytelling! And I talk to one of the best in the biz!
Mirin Fader (@MirinFader) writes for Bleacher Report. She has also written for the Orange County Register, ESPNW.Com, and Sports Illustrated among other things. I truly believe she is one of the best writers in sports media today and she explains her passion about it in this very educational talk.
We talked about her recent stories with Brandon Ingram, the Ball family, and the tragic story of James Ransom. We also talked about the human element in sports, which is overlooked by a lot of fans because all they care about, sometimes, is their team winning. What is up with the art of longform writing? How the heck did Mirin end up in Lithuania to cover the Ball family? What was her reaction to Ingram’s sudden outburst against the Rockets?
Thanks for listening, guysh!
