1. World Changing Believers
a. Believers from the Early Church (Acts 8:1-4, 11:19-20)
• This group of believers pushed geographical, cultural and religious boundaries.
• They are not well trained seminary grads, no theologians, no pastors/missionaries… they were ordinary people simply on fire for the resurrected Jesus, following Jesus’ instruction to go tell everybody. It’s that simple.
• Pandemic during Roman Empire Days – Antonine Plague (165-180AD); Cyprian Plague (249AD)- Christian believers showed their compassion by caring for the sick.
• All the believers in the everyday of life: Living in community, working in the community, sharing in the community, and changing the world.
b. RHCCC Disciples on Mission
Definition of PEACE: Ordinary people, empowered by God’s Spirit, doing what Jesus did, together, wherever they are.
• Eusebius of Caesarea:
Blessed Life VS Permitted Life
Sacred VS Secular

2. How do I Discover and Live Out My Life Mission (Romans 15:16-21)
1. Paul is very clear who he is serving
2. Paul is very clear where he is serving
3. Paul has Signature Verses that speaks to his life.

Made for Mission (1): What’s for Dinner?
Rev. Ho-Ming Tsui
Scripture: Luke 15:1-2, 19:1-10; 7-23

Mission Principles
• Every disciple is sent by Jesus
• Every disciple has a unique life mission
• We can do it together, by God’s grace!
“Ordinary people, Empowered by God, Making a difference, together, Wherever they are”
–––
The Dinner Strategy of Jesus
It is a visible and tangible expression of God’s love and acceptance of people (Luke 15)
Jesus had a mission that he gave the disciples at the Last Supper (Luke 22:7-23): “Extend the table”
–––
Marks of the Dinner Strategy:
• Located in a place and time that would allow non-believers to observe our fellowship and feel comfortable to join us
• Provide a meal free of charge to communicate a generous gospel
• Assure that everyone eats together
• Invite the Spirit to guide your conversations (pose an interesting question; offer a word of encouragement; share a gospel truth; etc.)
• Offer prayers for healing and favour
• Maintain a prevailing atmosphere of Christ in the room of peace, joy, healing, & laughter

A Part of the Church@Home Roadmap
1. Re-purpose our homes as hubs for the ministry and mission
2. Re-engage your neighbours
Pastor Paul Lam
Scripture: Mark 3:13-15
What is the purpose of our Christian faith?
The glory of God is a [person] most fully alive.
—St. Ireneaus
Life comes from Following Jesus
Discipleship
1. Presence of Jesus
2. Community of Jesus
3. Mission of Jesus
The Presence of Jesus
Jesus went up on a mountainside and CALLED TO HIM THOSE HE WANTED, and they came to him. He appointed twelve that THEY MIGHT BE WITH HIM
—Mark 3:13-15
One of them, the disciple whom Jesus loved, was reclining next to him.
—John 13:23
The Community of Jesus
[Jesus] appointed twelve that they might be with him …
—Mark 3:13-15
Jesus went up on a mountainside..
The LORD said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and stay here, and I will give you the tablets of stone with the law and commandments I have written for their instruction.
—Exodus 24:12
New Law
This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the LORD. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
—Jeremiah 31:33
The Mission of Jesus
Jesus … might send them out to preach and to have authority to drive out demons.
—Mark 3:13-15

Re-entry Reality #4: Let love lead your way
———
1. Love comes first
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
—John 13:35
If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal….
—1 Corinthians 13:1-3
Christians should be obsessed with answered this question above all: What is the most loving thing I can be doing in this moment in time?
…let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds
—Hebrews 10:24
–––
2. Love comes within
The fruit of the Spirit is growing because something is alive in you.
Love isn’t primarily an emotion (how you feel), nor is love strictly a choice (what you do)
If you want to extend love greatly, you must experience it deeply first.
Are you keeping in step with the Spirit today?

Three Signs of Show You’re Led by Love:
- You’re showing respect to those do not hold the (exact) same position as you
- You’re regularly examining your own short-comings and limitations.
- You’re looking for interactions and embrace interruptions so you can share God’s love
Introduction: The change God has allowed is his way of expanding his unchanging vision for the world.
The Plot-line of the Bible is…
1. Gen 1:1-2, Gen 3:8-9
2. Exodus 19:9
3. Exodus 40:34
4. John 1:14
5. 1 Corinthians 3:16
WHAT is the Kingdom?
WHERE is the Kingdom?
The Church’s mission is to extend the Kingdom of God on Earth (Matthew 22:2, 9-10; John 14:12-14, Acts 1:8)
The church is God’s main instrument (strategy) to advance his kingdom to the nations
Has our vision been too small? (Isaiah 49:1-6)
Two Shifts RHCCC is Championing
1. From ministry in one location to ministry in many
2. From blessing one group to blessing many
Conclusion
The worship and mercy of God everywhere
Re-Entry Reality #3:
God is using this season to prepare us for something significant.
Where is your heart right now?
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
—Matthew 22:37
I. To love God means you do it
.
II. To love God means you do it
.
Look at the example of the Church in Ephesus (Revelation 2:1-7)
Re-entry Reality #2: It’s not where you worship, but where your heart is.
At RHCCC, our goal is to help you grow in your journey with Jesus in five areas…
WORSHIP → LOVING GOD
FELLOWSHIP → LOVING OTHERS
DISCIPLESHIP → GROW IN MATURITY
MINISTRY → SERVE GOD’S PEOPLE
MISSION → SHARE GOD’S LOVE
Personal space (private) is about our own spiritual journey
That night the secret was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven
—Daniel 2:19
Worship is not part of your life - it IS your life.
Social space (selective) is about going deeper with people you know
As we worship together, we believe the presence of God fills that space and blesses our neighbourhoods.
Public space (non-selective) is about sharing a common experience with different people.
If, therefore, the whole church comes together and all speak in tongues, and outsiders or unbelievers enter, will they not say that you are out of your minds? But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or outsider enters, he is convicted by all, he is called to account by all, the secrets of his heart will be laid bare, so falling on his face, he will worship God, exclaiming, ‘God is really among us’
—1 Cor. 14:24-25
Conclusion
Nothing is more terrible when you go to a church where God is absent (Rev. 2:5)
We have a Saviour and Lord who just wants our hearts. Where is yours today?
