1)French Arrest Head of Telegram Social Media Platform: This weekend, French police arrested Mr. Pavel Durov, ----the billionaire Russian-born, now French-UAE-St. Kitts triple citizen who owns Telegram,---while he was stopping in France on his way to St. Petersburg, Russia. This arrest is allegedly for his complicity in Telegram trafficking information on child pornography, drug trade, money laundering, and other criminal offenses. Are the French unfairly censoring his right to 'free speech'?

2)Israel Launched Preemptive Strike on Lebanon?: Based on alleged intelligence that Hezbollah was about to launch missiles on Israel, on Sunday Aug. 25th the IDF launched a massive 'preemptive strike' on Hezbollah missile positions in Lebanon. This took place while the Israel-Hamas Peace Deal was in it's final moments to concluding. Was this strike necessary, or was it timed to blow up the peace talks?

3)Syrian Immigrant to Germany Kills Several with Knife: In Solingen, Germany, during a festival celebrating diversity in the 650 year old town, a Syrian refugee attacked and killed several with a knife. What is behind this killing and how will it influence German's attitude on receiving Muslim refugee?

3)Musk Called Race Riots in UK the Beginning of A Civil War?: Last week, while using his 'X' platform to accelerate the false claim that a Muslim immigrant was responsible for the killing of three young girls in Southport, England, Musk added he expects Civil War to break out. This was extraordinarily inflammatory in the situation. Now Musk is claiming any limitations on 'free speech' on his platform would violate civil liberties. What do you think?

4)Valor in Combat?: Is 'valor' a domestic issue or international one? When US troops fight against enemies, it is usually on foreign soil. But in the Civil War, medals were given to Union troops. Indeed the first Medal of Honor was given after the Civil War. But the majority were given for heroic combat in foreign wars. What is valor and gallantry anyway?

1)What Military Assets Will US Provide in Event Iran Attacks Israel?: It seems very likely that Iran and Hezbollah will launch a large attack on Israel in retaliation for Israel's assassination of Hamas Political Leader and Chief Negotiator, Ismail Haniyah last week in Iran's capitol, Tehran. The Biden Administration has decided to help defend Israel from any such attack. What will Iran's counter-attack look like, and how can the US help defend Israel?

2) UK Race and Anti-Muslim Riots: Last week in various towns across the UK, riots broke out led by far right white young males. The riots were sparked by claims that a Muslim immigrant had attacked and killed three young white girls attending a Taylor Swift dance party in Southport. The rioters attacked mosques and hotels in which immigrants were living. Was this rioting justified? If not, what really happened?

3)Ukraine Invading Part of Russia?: After 2 1/2 years of defending against Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Pres. Zelensky just authorized the Ukrainian army to invade part of Russia, on the border with Ukraine. This past week , they have seized 400 square miles in the Kursk region, capturing 30 Russian towns. What do you think of this development?

1)Venezuela Elections In Dispute: Elections last week on July 28th in Venezuela are being disputed. Socialist Pres. Maduro is claiming he won for a third time, and is entitled to another six year term. But the opposition leader, Mr. Edmundo Gonzales, a retired diplomat, claims he won by more than 70% of the vote. What's going on?

2)Netanyahu's Government Assassinated Ismail Hayani---Will This Force Iran to Retaliate? Ismail Haniyeh , Hamas' chief peace talks negotiator was assassinated by Israel while in Tehran attending the new President of Iran's inauguration ceremony. Did this strike put a nail in the coffin for any Gaza Peace Agreement?. Will Iran launch another direct rocket attack on Israel in retaliation? And did Bibi provoke Iran's upcoming attack? If so, should the US defend Israel against Iran?

3)Netanyahu Proposing A New "Abraham Alliance"?: Inspired by the unity of pro Israel allies in rebutting Iran's counter-strike on Israel in April---after Israel forces attacked Iran's Embassy in Syria and killed to Hezbollah generals meeting there----Israel's PM is now proposing a more permanent NATO-like 'alliance' to opposed the anti Israel 'Iran Axis'. What do you think of this idea?

4)A Report Card?: B'tselem, an Israeli human rights group, just issued an 118 page report in Aug 2024 on Israeli detention 'prisons' for 10,000 'detained Palestinians',-- including at Ofer, Sde Teiman, (near Beersheba) and Meggido prisons. It's titled "Welcome to Hell". What did it conclude?
