1)What Is Trump's Plan to End Russia's War in Ukraine?: Trump said he will end Russia's war in Ukraine almost instantly, within days of taking office. The war has been going on for more than two years now. Both Ukraine and Russia are attacking each other with drone and missile strikes deep in each other's territory. What makes Trump think he can end this war?

2)Biden has just announced it will let Ukraine use US supplied longer range missiles to attack inside Russia: Will that change the military balance? Does it increase the risk of escalation of the conflict? Also North Korea has sent 10,000 troops to help Russia fight against Ukraine. What will be the impact of that?

3)Israel Attacks UNIFIL and other UN Forces, Continues Total Siege on North Gaza, and Appoints A New Defense Minister: In past few weeks, Israel's IDF has attacked UN troops. It's Parliament passed a law proposing to ban UNRWA's operation in Israel. Netanyahu fired Mr. Gallant and appointed a new Defense Minister. US issued deadline for improving humanitarian aid to Gaza, then backed down on punishing Netanyahu. What is going on?

4)Chinese Sentences 45 Pro-Democracy Protestors: Communist China just sentenced to prison terms of four to ten years 45 pro-democracy Hong Kong protesters. They had been awaiting trial for past three years. What is the significance of this step?

5)The COP 29 Summit on Global Warming and Environmental Impacts: The COP 29 summit is occurring in Baku, Azerbaijan. It is being hosted by an oil exporting country for the second year in a row. More than 200 delegates came from oil and gas companies. Have lobbyists taken over the COP process? Why did President Biden skip it, and go visit Brazil's rain forest instead?
