In a recent broadcast on the Booze & Blues Show on Radio Memphis, Ric and Jeff sat down with one of the pre-eminent blues men of our day. He comes from a family of musicians and is the grandson of one R.L. Burnside. His current album is called Descendants of Hill Country and it has been nominated for a Grammy. It is always a good time when Willie "Too Big" Hall comes to the studios. On a recent appearance on the Radio Memphis show, Booze & Blues, Willie talks to Ric and Jeff about his work with the Blues Brothers and recording with Isaac Hayes. There are some great stories in this show about the early days of Stax and being on the road as a travelling musician in those great early days. One of the most iconic people of wrestling stopped in the studio for a chat about the business of wrestling and being a part of one of America's top 100 moments of television. Jerry "The King" Lawler sat down with Ric and they talked about the growth of wrestling and what it was like working with Andy Kaufman and recreating the whole scenario with Jim Carrey for the movie Man On The Moon. Apparently, working with Jim Carrey was "difficult" as the story Jerry tells will prove.

As we near a monumental number of episodes for this show, Ric takes a little look back over the history of this little show From Radioland. Nostalgic? Kind of. For a lot of shows, attaining this number is no big deal. For us it is. As we inch closer to the big triple digit show, Ric will give a little history behind the early days of the show and a peek of what is to come.

NEXT WEEK: The decade of wisdom and what is expected.

It has been said on this show that being an asshole is an archetype all on its own. These people are everywhere. Ric feels as though he is surrounded by them. Maybe we truly are a product of our environment. If that is the case, we become the very things we detest. In this episode, Ric explores his stance on people and their issues and how he finds himself dealing with other peoples problems.

Sarcasm is a tricky thing. Some people get it, others not so much. Plus there is the added benefit when sarcasm turns out to be insulting and often offensive. In this episode, Ric takes a look at the genre of sarcasm and how he uses it to his benefit. Sure, like anything else there is a time and a place for sarcasm. It's where those lines get blurred is where Ric gets into trouble.

NEXT WEEK: Other people's problem.

Ric learned something new on social media this week. Never engage a conspiracy theorist into an argument. You will never win. In this episode, Ric talks about that incident and how in the absence of logic, idiocy reigns supreme. It points to the gullibility of people who follow these things or gives them one ounce of thought beyond what they are told by their media of choice. Then again, if FEMA camps are a real thing, then Ric will see you all there.

NEXT WEEK: Sarcastic Bastard

There are a lot of theories regarding the art of radio programming. In this episode, Ric ponders the idea surrounding the concept of 24 hour Christmas music programming from Thanksgiving through New Year's Day. With all the hustle and madness that comes with the holiday season, there are radio stations that provide an amusing soundtrack to all of this. When people act like jackasses in "the most wonderful time of the year", it is an interesting juxtaposition to have holiday music playing in the background.
