Hour 4I
In the final hour the crew talks break out performances in 2022 for the Patriots. Mego is betting on Thorton, Lou is all in on Mills, and Fauria is backing Janu Smith. With Mac Jones being barred from this exercise, MegO wants it known he will be viewed as a franchise QB according not as a need but a necessity for Bill to not hit the reset.
Coach O has zero regrets in his departure from LSU. He's happy for the memories... and the cool $17 million sitting in his checking account.
Hour 3
Merloni, Fauria and Mego broadcast live from La Cantina and discuss Forbes' ranking the top 50 valuable franchises in the world with 3 Boston teams making the list. Mike McDaniel might be the first person in human history to say Mac Jones has cool charisma. Tom Curran of NBC Sports Boston joins us ahead of Week 1. Curran will join us every Thursday. Plus, NBA players are really sensitive when it comes to their 2K rating.
Hour 2
Brian Kelly had an unimpressive first day on the job, but that didn't stop him from critiquing others on their work performance. Who is in the right and who is in the wrong, the crew takes sides and we're not sure there was resolve.
Additionally, Lou lays out a two step process to get the Red Sox back on track. Will Chaim adhere and reroute his long-term rebuild, all signs are pointing to yes after Hernández's remarks following his extension.
Hour 1
Real, meaningful NFL football returns tonight. We no longer have to tune into a Dan Campbell cry session to get a rush of football fever but we do have to worry about which young gun slingers are primed to dethrone the league's current stars. The gang debates which sophomore players will be expected to take a giant leap forward this year, and what that might look like from each candidate.
Additionally, the Queen croaked. Prayers up but MFM has bigger fish to fry with people calling out the life blood of sports radio: you, the listener. A gentleman from a state with likely just one Congressman can't believe we would have the audacity to debate sports in a free society and hear dissenting opinions. Sounds like he and King George would get along seamlessly.
