Ting was born in Los Angeles, California and is of Chinese and Japanese descent. He was a five-sport athlete growing up and played collegiate football at Yale University while earning a B.A and went on to achieved a dual J.D./M.B.A. degree. Ting later switched career paths and pursued his interest in the entertainment world.

His career as an actor began in Los Angeles when he was cast in the TV series, “Beyond the Break”. Additional TV credits include: “NCIS: Los Angeles”, “Supergirl”, “Rush Hour”, “The Messengers”, Chicago P.D.”, “The Novice”, and “Boston Legal”.

Ting then went on to film in Asia after being cast for the lead role of “Xon Sa Ma” in the historic film, “Huyen Su Thien Do”, commemora
