(S3E40) – Solace

I don’t think I have to come up with any kind of clever introduction for this beloved band that has been at it for the the part of 30 or so years, so instead I will just say on this episode of Rich and Turbo’s Heavy Half Hour (S3E40), we talk to Tommy Southard and Justin Daniels of the legendary New Jersey band Solace. We have so much fun talking to Tommy and Justin whenever, but we had a reason for this chat, as the band will be releasing their fifth album, Fading Failing Ruin, on July 3rd, 2026 via Magnetic Eye Records and whoa boy is it amazing. Listen to Rich say the title wrong at least 10 times as well as hearing about how the record came to be, the influence lead vocalist Justin Goins has on the writing and the direction of the band, their recent European tour with Hermano, and may even a couple spoilers about a fest they may play in a mountainous US state next year.
