During this catch up: First and foremost RIP John Lewis, a civil rights legend. While the black community mourns they have to deal with Kanye unraveling, AGAIN! The ladies discuss "mature" pregnancies, Jenae's old love and Glory's potential love. Dear women, you are on your own timeline, so define it for yourself (Be sure to follow RVO on Instagram: @richvibesandoverdrafts).
Back from their break! During this catch up: the ladies continue to discuss issues related to Black America. One important issue that doesn't seem to get much discussion: THE MURDER OF BREONNA TAYLOR! The ladies feel like America is in extreme turmoil from the lack of justice for black live to Kanye running for president and Meg the Stallion allegedly getting shot by Tory Lanes. WTF?! Oh, and Jenae been tripping too (Be sure to follow RVO on Instagram: @richvibesandoverdrafts).
During this catch up: the ladies discuss major corporations and their recent initiatives to support the black community, is it just for the press or permanent support? Either way we'll take the cash. We need to use our cash and knowledge to educate our communities and generate black wealth. Can someone say, Black Wall Street 2020, because we are here for it, but it starts with ourselves, unity and the black family. #BlackLivesMatter (Be sure to follow RVO on Instagram: @richvibesandoverdrafts).
During this catch up: the ladies continue the black lives matter conversation. Side note: Black people do not lynch themselves. The black community nationwide is fighting for Juneteenth to be come a recognized holiday on corporate, state and federal levels. And as a community there is an ongoing debate on where celebrities' role in the fight for liberation. Jenae discusses a personal liberation of her own - could it really be over for her and bae? #BlackLivesMatter (Be sure to follow RVO on Instagram: @richvibesandoverdrafts).
During this catch up: the ladies discuss the hurt, heartbreak and exhaustion they are experiencing in regards to the racism black people face in America. It’s always been there, and who knows if it will ever leave. Black lives matter - why is there even a debate about it? Right now, we have national attention - it’s time to mobilize and strategize to dismantle the systems that continue to oppress us. It’s a heavy conversation - one that ignites strong emotions. There is crying, there is passion, but most important there is a call for justice and change. We need to hold everyone accountable and we need solid change. #BlackLivesMatter (Be sure to follow RVO on Instagram: @richvibesandoverdrafts).
During this catch up: Glory opens the episode up with her rendition of, “Drunk In Love...” (please tell her to never do that again). The ladies discuss beauty and if they would ever get plastic surgery, expanding on last week’s conversation regarding insecurities. Do you love thyself? Where does your confidence come from? Do you know your worth? We discover Jenae has a Scorpio moon – the petty tendencies gave it away (very compatible with Glory’s Pisces moon)… long story short, they are both emotional. Open relationships, sex on the beach, shows they are watching and feelings about the current state of the world… the beginning of a longer conversation... (Be sure to follow RVO on Instagram: @richvibesandoverdrafts).
During this catch up: we find the ladies saying a lot of wild shxt—is the pandemic getting to them? Did Will Smith really say that? Why didn’t Nelly have good internet? Jenae and Glory have a tangential conversation about the show Insecure and insecurities. Jenae is not really out of pocket in this episode, but she does have her moments (maybe because her relationship is on the brinks) and Glory…. Somehow found a way to mention that she was Prom Queen in High School (girl, let that go). Also, we learn about Tittie Tuesday… (Be sure to follow RVO on Instagram: @richvibesandoverdrafts).
During this catch up: you can hear the low production budget via Glory’s audio because she has yet to buy a new chord for her mic—girl. The conversation must go on. Jenae and Glory dig into their past— how they met, interesting memories and individual undergraduate experiences. The discussion leads to the classic debate: HBCU v PWI? As per usual, we learn the ladies have bird tendencies and are picking outfits for the Nelly v Ludacris VERZUZ battle—pewn, pewn. (Be sure to follow RVO on Instagram: @richvibesandoverdrafts).
During this catch up: Glory learns something new about Jenae’s childhhood. The ladies discuss an important part of Instagram content curation: titties – yes (lol). They also talk about financial goals, toxicity, dating with 4A - 4C hair, true love and both of them have some interesting advice for the graduating class of 2020. (Be sure to follow RVO on Instagram: @richvibesandoverdrafts).
