Debbie Williams was born to gold medal Ice skaters and literally was born in a trunk. Her mom and dad traveled with the ice shows of that era and moved from town to town 11 months out of the year. When she was 2, they put her in a show and she performed with her family in Holiday on Ice and Ice Follies as a featured performer until the age of 15. Later, she did a show in Europe with Peggy Fleming where she met choreographer Bob Paul and he went on to choreograph the skating numbers for the 70’s Donny and Marie Show. They needed Skater/ Dancers and he was hired. 4 years on that show and when it was over, Debbie switched into TV production. Produced Casey Kasem's Americas Top Ten TV Show for 5 years among other shows like Portrait of a Legend and others. Debbie had her son and decided to change jobs so that she would have more time with her son…. That’s how stage managing happened. Soon she was doing all the big shows like the Oscars, Emmys, Grammys as the token female. It gave me time off to raise her son and it clicked. She did every live special, award show, live tv dramas like Fail Safe with Clooney, ER live, West Wing Live and On Golden Pond live with Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer. It it was live, I did it and became the only woman Lead Stage Manager to do live Variety tv in LA. I eventually did American Idol the first 15 seasons on Fox as the lead stage manager. Debbie is now semi retired but do occasional shows that I want to do. I use my talents to help with activism in LA and DC for Womens March. My kids are 28 and 38. My son was on Broadway in Jersey Boys and my daughter is a therapist. I’m also a new grandma to a 6 month old. And back living in LA after a 4 year Park City adventure and commuting for work in LA.

Nashville, Tennessee - Shanda Tripp, Founder of the 501c3 nonprofit Love From Music City, www.lovefrommusiccity.org, announced today that her first ever book SHE WAS HEALED from Trilogy Publishing will release in bookstores and everywhere books are sold on November 4, 2022. A percentage of the proceeds from all book sales will be donated to LOVE FROM MUSIC CITY to help young adults coming out of the foster care system get started in life. Contributing to the book is her mother-in-law, Edith Tripp, who was a gospel music pioneer and passed away this past year and Shanda’s daughter, Hannah Tripp. Here is what many are saying about this powerful book To say that Laurie and me along with our entire family has been close to the Tripp family over multiple decades would be an understatement. When ministering through song on TBN, my father would always request his favorite written by LaVerne, “We’ll Not Be Defeated.” That’s not unlike the running theme of three generations of valiant Tripp women. Like the persistent woman with the “issue of blood” in scriptures, they’ve each had to push through remarkable challenges to get to Jesus – where their miracle breakthrough was waiting! -Matt & Laurie Crouch President, Trinity Broadcasting Network  The best way to write a book is to have lived it. We have been friends with the Tripp family for decades and became especially close when we moved to their town in 2012. Not only Laverne and his sons, but their wives and daughters have become pillars to so many through their faithfulness to God as pastors and singers. They have persevered through the worst of circumstances. They have remained steady in a shifting world.

What does it mean to let go? And how do we do it? Here we'll talk about letting go of the past so we can move on from relationships, people, and unhealthy emotions. It’s time to let go of the ghosts of the past. Most of us are haunted by the ghosts of our past: that opportunity that we let slip by; those kids who bullied us in the playground; that love interest who treated us badly; that professor who graded us unfairly; and so on. As we move through our days we hear our past rattling chains and moaning eerily; we see the shadows of our past mistakes lurking in the corners; and our past failures creep up behind us and startle us at every turn. A fearful past that is not dealt with causes a fearful future. In addition, in order to be happy in the present, we need to release the ghosts of the past. In this post you’ll discover 8 ways to release the ghosts of the past so that you can be happy in the present and in the future.

  • Richard Skipper Celebrates The Life of Marion Davies w/Lara Gabrielle 10/22/2022
For Video Edition, Please Click and Subscribe Here: https://youtu.be/_9fcNe861o8
Lara Gabrielle is a film writer and researcher whose work on Marion Davies has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The San Francisco Chronicle, Air Mail, and on PBS’s American Experience. Her biography, Captain of Her Soul: The Life of Marion Davies, was been named one of Alta Journal's top books to read in September, and it was included in Leonard Maltin’s list of 5 new and notable books for October. She has spoken about Davies at film festivals and retrospectives worldwide and has served as a consultant on her life and legacy for books, dissertations, and film projects. Gabrielle lives in Oakland. From Marion Davies's humble days in Brooklyn to her rise to fame alongside press baron William Randolph Hearst, the public life story of the film star plays like a modern fairy tale shaped by gossip columnists, fan magazines, biopics, and documentaries. Yet the real Marion Davies remained largely hidden from view, as she was wary of interviews and trusted few with her true life story. In Captain of Her Soul, Lara Gabrielle pulls back layers of myth to show a complex and fiercely independent woman, ahead of her time, who carved her own path. Through meticulous research, unprecedented access to archives around the world, and interviews with those who knew Davies, Captain of Her Soul counters the public story. This book reveals a woman who navigated disability and social stigma to rise to the top of a young Hollywood dominated by powerful men. Davies took charge of her own career, negotiating with studio heads and establishing herself as a top-tier comedienne, but her proudest achievement was her philanthropy and advocacy for children.
