Rick Brown

Have you ever wondered what the ultimate showdown between good and evil will actually look like? In Revelation 13, Pastor Rick unpacks Satan's unholy trinity; as the antithesis of Christ's Palm Sunday arrival, this is Satan showing his plan as he comes to deceive the world.

First rises the Antichrist, blaspheming God and demanding worship, who is given power by the Dragon. Then the False Prophet emerges, performing great signs to deceive humanity into worshiping the Antichrist's image and receiving his mark on their right hand or forehead. These prophecies can seem gloomy and foreboding, but they're a reminder to be faithful to Christ in the present, no matter what the future brings!

When everything around you seems to be spiraling out of control, where do you turn? Pastor Rick delves into Revelation 11 and 12, where through incomprehensible judgments and crazy supernatural events, we are reminded that God is still on the throne.

When the seventh and final trumpet sounds, the inhabitants of heaven worship God and proclaim his supremacy and character. Through the intensity of the cosmic drama that follows, God is still faithful to his promises and plan. Even when the darkness closes in, we should respond like the hosts of heaven and hold on to the truth: our God reigns forever!

What does a long-destroyed temple have to do with Christian faith? Pastor Rick unpacks the significance of the new temple that will be built in Jerusalem, serving as a sign that Christ's return approaches. Even at this point, God sends two mighty witnesses to prophesy with supernatural authority, showing His amazing patience with a wicked world.

But this isn't just ancient prophecy, or vague symbolism—it's a presentation of events that will one day take place, and a reminder that God's truth will always overcome, and His good plans will come to fulfillment.

Have you ever received news that was partly sweet and partly sour? Pastor Rick unpacks Revelation 10, where John encounters a mighty angel who declares the delay is over, and that everything God ordained would soon be completed. At this moment, John is given a book to eat that tastes sweet in his mouth but turns bitter in his stomach.

This symbolizes the dual reality every believer faces: God's Word brings the sweetness of truth, justice, and blessing, yet also the bitterness of sacrifice and judgment on a fallen world. This sweet and sour revelation reminds us that following Christ is an experience that holds both bitterness and ultimate joy.

Why do people refuse to change even when consequences face them head-on? In Revelation 9, the sixth trumpet unleashes the next stage of judgment on the world: a devastating 200-million-strong demonic army that kills a third of humanity. Yet astonishingly, the survivors don't repent—they continue in all kinds of violence and immorality.

But though they defy him, God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked (Ezekiel 33:11) and desires all to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4), offering cleansing for all who turn to Him. The question confronting every person isn't whether judgment is coming, but whether we'll respond to God's invitation to repent before it's too late.

Have you ever been in such pain that you would do anything just to make it stop? In Revelation 9, Pastor Rick unpacks the terrifying fifth trumpet judgment, where demonic beings emerge from the abyss to judge those outside of God's kingdom. With severe scorpion-like stings, these beings inflict such agony that victims desperately seek death just to escape the pain.

This judgment reveals the stark contrast between two kingdoms: Satan comes only to destroy, but Jesus declares "I have come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly." He stands with open arms, offering a place in His kingdom to anyone who seeks Him with all their heart.

Why would God bring such catastrophic judgment on the world? The events in Revelation 8 are harrowing, with four trumpet blasts that unleash unprecedented devastation: one-third of vegetation burns, one-third of the oceans turn to blood, one-third of fresh water becomes poisonous; and a third of the celestial light dims, plunging earth into chaos.

The triple "woe" announcing worse horrors makes one truth clear: God's wrath is real and powerful. But Scripture reveals God's consistent pattern and ultimate plan: He must bring justice, but in His love and mercy, He will deliver the righteous and redeem those who trust in Him.

What does it mean when everything goes quiet?
Pastor Rick expounds on the final steps in Revelation before the next stage of God's judgment is unleashed upon the earth. In preparation, 144,000 people of Israel are sealed as God's own. Pastor Rick shows how this isn't the church, as some argue—verse 9 introduces a separate multitude from all nations who come through the tribulation.

Instead, this is God fulfilling His covenant plan for Israel, setting the scene for the seven trumpets. Finally, there comes the calm before the storm‒silence in heaven for half an hour. But don't be deceived by a moment of quiet; trust in God's plan and gear up for the storm to come!

Ever wonder what's happening when the world looks like it's spinning out of control? In this dive into Revelation 6, Pastor Rick Brown unpacks the dramatic opening of the seven seals, revealing God's cosmic plan to bring judgment on the earth. The four horsemen arrive upon the scene, bringing conquest, war, famine, and death, at an extent of which the world has yet to see.

Yet this apocalyptic vision isn't meant to terrify believers, but to give us a profound sense of gratitude and urgency. Though God's justice is coming upon the world, Christians hold fast to the promise that we're not appointed to wrath but to salvation through Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:9). The seals remind us that history is hurtling toward its climax, and eternity is too long to ignore. Today is the day to confess Jesus as Lord and put your hope in Him!
