A 15-year-old boy is supposed to be thinking about school, sports, his family and maybe where to find something to eat. But when Sean Nolan was 15, he was worried about a baseball-sized lump on the side of his neck. He should have been. It turned out to be Burkett's Lymphoma -- and he wound up in UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh for treatment. Five years later, he is celebrating being cancer free, and Rick Dayton caught up with Sean before he is set to help co-host the 68th Free Care Fund Telethon on KDKA.

Nurses have seen it all, and they have done it all. The nursing staff at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh numbers about 1,500 people. The Chief Nursing Officer at Children's Diane Hupp visited with Rick Dayton during the Free Care Fund Telethon to discuss how those nurses are such a huge part of the success that is Children's Hospital. 

Twins. One boy. One girl. Two bundles of joy for Colin Dunlap, the Morning Show Co-Host on 93.7 The Fan and his wife. But their daughter spent nearly two and a half years at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh battling Leukemia. Colin tells Rick Dayton about those years and the memories they have of those times at CHP.

For 35 years, Kim Roppa has taught kids at State Street Middle School about giving to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. For Stacy Brock, it ahs been 18 years of doing the same. This afternoon they joined the Rick Dayton Show with 25 singing 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders to make a BIG donation to Children's Hospital.

Children's Hospital helps families that cannot afford medical treatment to get the help they need, but they cannot do that without your help. Children's Hospital Foundation President, Rachel Petrucelli, joins Rick to tell him what the Free Care Fund is, how many people it helps, and how difficult it has been to raise money during a pandemic.
