A new survey reveals that more often than not, families are forgoing the kid's table during their Thanksgiving meals and seating their little ones right next to grown-up dinner guests.  

More than half of parents — 61 percent of those surveyed — do not create a separate kids' table for their holiday gatherings.

Friends and co-workers gathered at a church over the weekend to show their appreciation for a man named Wedndall. For the past 40 yers, Wedndall, 85, has been working at a McDonald's restaurant taking out the garbage and cleaning the restrooms.

Two months ago, tragedy struck when his wife suddenly died of aneurysm while she was visiting Wendall for lunch. Since then, friends have raised money to help Wendell, who now takes care of two adult grandsons with special needs. The campaign has already raised more than $90,000 of it's $115,000 goal.

A policeman has been praised for his compassion after he was pictured buying a hot dog for a homeless man.

According to Jonathan Allen, who posted the image on Facebook, the man had been going through rubbish bins looking for food before the Salt Lake City officer spotted him.

In response, Salt Lake City Police Department thanks Detective Overman for his actions at a branch of Utah hot dog chain J Dawgs.

“We are proud of our officers and the compassionate service they offer our community everyday,” the department said.
