Up on the top of a mountain in New Hampshire is what is called the Tip Top House. It has withstood many natural disasters. To this day you can go check it out. 

Back in the 1600s a fisherman's apprentice came to New England and quickly went up the ranks.  By the time his son, who had the same name as him, was old enough he trained him in the business. the 2nd William Pepperell grew the business to new heights and made the family name known throughout old and new England especially in his acts during a war with France. When he died, the inheritor was skipped a generation to the 3rd William Pepperrell. By this time the American Revolution was about to begin and he fled back to England leaving all the riches.

Throughout History there are all kinds of things we never learn about in school, maybe you head of the Missouri compromise and possibly even bleeding Kansas. But do you really know all that much about it? Have you heard of the Wakarusa war? Sure only 2 people died but is death the marker of important events in history? I beg to differ. The Wakarusa war solidified that a civil war would eventually break out.

A short story of one of the founding fathers and his switch from tea to coffee in the midst of the revolution. 

Stories like this are my favorite because it crosses over to another story I did (The Gunnison Massacre) In this tidbit mostly set in Arizona I tell you the life story of Sylvester Mowry, a pro confederate mine owner and politician.

The coffee wagon was invented during the civil war to help soldiers with morale and energy.

Aplets and Cotlets were created by immigrants who fled their home country due to persecution of Armenians. In Eastern Washington USA, Aplets and Cotlets was born.

Utah is Mormon land and before the Mormons, it was Indian land. For the most part, Mormons and Indians had a good relationship. As more and more emigrants traveled west Indian relations were tested. In one such case Americans were told by the Mormons that the Indians were friendly but when scared, they shot and killed a prominent member of their tribe. Which led to a revenge plot... And that brings us to the Gunnison Massacre and in this video I will tell you how it all went down.

When Boy Scouts of America was nearing a milestone, they decided to run a campaign to commemorate the occasion. Making a bunch of miniature Statues of Liberty and placing them all over the country. One in particular is in Seattle, and a family joke is that my grandma thought that was the real statue of liberty. Good Job Boy Scouts.
