We sit down in Dakota's shop in the middle of rebuilding shovelhead #2 for Adam and discuss MPB! Better known as mid project burnout. It's about that time of year when you are wrapping up projects and have had enough of single digit temps and spending all of your money...
We sit down with Angelo, owner and operator of @NickelCityMetalWorks to talk about some of the bikes he's been building as well as how we all go about deciding how to build a new project bike.
We sit down with Josh (@compoundcycles) and Brian (@grimace__69) to talk about how they started the @Drycoughbuildoff and what their plans for it are. This is the second time we discuss it because the first time, even though we had a blast recording for 2hrs, the audio was shit. So listen in as we have the same conversations over again and try to act natural.
We setup the microphone in Adam's garage while we got his new shovelhead project running. Audio quality is what you'd expect and there is a few times the bike starts starting at around 39min so watch the volume on those headphones. @ride_and_die_podcast on IG. Like, follow, subscribe.
Episode 15. Been off for a bit due to covid and life in general. We are trying to get back into the swing of things and put the podcast out weekly again. We are working on some merch as well and "techisodes" for patreon subscribers that will deep dive into operation, diagnosing and repairs of the system and components on your bike. Listen in as we record a quick update of whats been going on and what will be going on... Also where the hell is Dakota?
Well we still didn't actually work on anything yet, but we did go and sit in Adam's garage and talk about it... check it out. Don't forget to follow us on instagram @ride_and_die_podcast or hit us up with questions at [email protected]
Unlucky for you we made a 13th episode... Join us as we hang out for the first time in a couple of months and go over what we've been up to and working on over the past months. Everything from bike troubles, to big blocks, to washing machine repair... As always get at us with your tech questions or topics you want us to talk about. [email protected] or @ride_and_die_podcast on instagram. Enjoy!
We spent a few hours hanging out in Dakota's shop and just shot the shit about some of the stuff we've been working on, goofy instagram ads, Matt's shitty gas tank, the Buffalo Shuffle bike event.
We go over slimming down and modifying your wiring harness and how to simplify that process, we also talk to Adam's "friend" Chuck, who shares his stereotypical Bike Week experience. And lastly of course, like everyone else we talk about the corona virus and how its affecting us and upcoming shows... We get a little silly but we live in a silly world right now, so listen in and forget about it for 90 minutes
It's just Dakota and myself this week because Adam was self quarantining due to some flu symptoms. We took some time to go over the different style of primary drives, the components in them, their adjustment and maintenance. We also go over changing your gearing, how to calculate your gear ratios, what they mean and how they'll affect your ride. This is a fairly tech heavy episode since we haven't done one in awhile so we hope so of you find it helpful. Enjoy!
