"What's in this?"
It's the logical question we should ask when presented with something new that we're interested in but uncertain of.
"What's in the life of Saint?"
Tonight in our final full session of Fall Retreat we answer this question by looking at the life of Peter.
What happens when people of uncommon goodness gather together to form a community of uncommon blessing? Check out the Saturday morning session for the answer!
Check out message 1 from RSM Fall Retreat 2024. Our theme is Saints and we begin with a call to live into what God has already said we are.
If Jesus defined His Gospel as the "Kingdom come near," then what does living in the Kingdom entail? He starts His sermon on the mount by clarifying the WHO, but He finishes it with the HOW. Check it out on this week's episode.
Jesus came teaching and preaching, "Behold, the Kingdom has come near. Repent and believe."
When we talk about life, we have to look towards its source and what Jesus saw as life and the good news of life is that the Kingdom of God had arrived on the scene.
For us to understand life, we must understand the Kingdom of God and its implications on our lives. This is part 1 of 2 looking at the Kingdom of God and our lives.
How do we begin to live into the new quality of life that Jesus offers us? We must begin to see a re-enchanted world all around us with Him at the center.
All of us want to live a good life. But do we go about living the life we have in a way that will lead to our greatest good? In this series we'll begin looking at what life looks like according to the way of Jesus. The first step in that is realizing that eternal life doesn't have to wait til eternity.
We all want peace, and we all feel as though we lack it. So is there a place we can run to and find that we peace and healing are present and with us?
Provider.
The name Jireh has become familiar with people in the wake of the Maverick City Music song. God is our provider. He is enough. We can be content because He has and is all we need.
But what is the deeper meaning and context behind God being called Jehovah Jireh? Is He like a cosmic Walmart stocked with all the goods we need for each week that we visit on Sundays to stock up? Or is there a deeper meaning in God being our provider this isn't less than but far more than we imagine?
