Lost in a Moment - Riff Beach Original ©
Sometimes sad and hard to believe
Don’t need a plan, nor a reason to leave
Packing a bag, catching a plane
I don’t care about the snow or the rain
I don’t care about the snow or the rain
Then, he saw her standing there
    Appearing from out of nowhere
Her long hair floating in the wind
Just like a magnet, Lord, it was pulling him in
Just like a magnet, it was pulling him in
    Chorus
Then, she vanished in the blink of an eye
Just disappeared, as if she could fly
Just disappeared, as if she could fly
A moment in time, it left him wondering there
And, dreaming about the wind in her hair
Dreaming about the wind in her hair
Lost in a moment, wondering why
Should he even give this a try?
Should he even give this a try?
His heart was beating so fast
    Working overtime, forgetting the past
    Bridge
    Frozen in time while impatiently
Gazing at her, and he was hoping she’d see……
A voice cried out from somewhere within
    Was this love....all over again?
    Was this love.....all over again?
Had his life reached a dead end?
Or, was this a chance to find love again?
Was this a chance to find love again?
A quick glance was stealing his soul
And, he knew that he was losing control
He knew that he was losing control

If your days should outnumber mine
My fondest wish is that you’ll always find
    Memories of treasured moments…..
Holding close the very best of times
May we never have a single regret
For all the times we choose to just forget
Looking back over all those years
Living our Dreams, chasing away our fears
    (Chorus/Bridge)
And you know….even when I’m gone
In my thoughts you’ll forever be
And, I’ll wait for you….so patiently
(And) Just How Will You Remember Me?
    (How Will You Remember Me?)
Thank you for all the love we shared
You always showed me just how much you cared
Gave you all the best that I could ever be…..
Hopefully, that’s how you’ll remember me?
Oh, Hopefully, that’s how you remember me?

  • Honky Tonk Women - Collaboration with Southern Fried Tide
Took a Crazy Little Ride with Southern Fried Tide on this interpretive stroll down Memory Lane with this version of a Stones Classic tune. Kudo's and Big Thanks to Cliff and Corey. Appreciate their leading me along on this totally enjoyable collaborative adventure. Lyrical Liberties taken to present this sparkly gem in our own unique way! Hope it's enjoyed. Had quite a bit of Raucous Jammin' Fun, but also did our very best to also respect the Original. :D

Some days I’m but a small speck
    Just riding upon The Ocean
    In a most unfamiliar space
    Free from noise and commotion
It feels as if I’m just floating
Flowing into a river or a sea
    Will I be swallowed by a puddle……
    Or, maybe, Eternity?
    Chorus
Oh yeah, some days I am but a small speck
At peace with the gentle motion
    Lost in some unknown space
    Riding upon The Ocean
    Bridge
    Do you fear…..
    The Loneliness of Being?
    The Taste of Nothingness
    All around?
    I’m all scattered and splattered
    Like a fierce slapping wave……
    Just Stirring up The Shore
From There to Here….until No More
Did you see that Flash of Lightnin’?
Hear the Crack of Rumblin’ Thunder?
It had me Swirling from Within
    Climbing Out from Under

  • Just A Small Speck © - AcoustaTronic Original
Updated and revised version of a recent song "Speck".....performed and recorded a little differently with slightly revised song title and lyrics. :D This was, initially, an observation or poem that I had written, and then decided to bring music to in some way.....this one is in Spoken Word style, accompanied by an arrangement I had created musically, and then played instruments along with the backing track - guitars, harmonica, vocals, Djembe, etc..

ONE OF THOSE DAYS - TL-TA-RB COLLAB

(Any Other Day - Tom Adams Open Collab)

    (Blues/Rock)

WELL, I WAS WALKIN' OUT THE DOOR…

    JUST WHAT DID I FEEL?

YOU KNOW I FELT THE RAIN

IT WAS POURIN' DOWN ON ME

JUST POURIN' DOWN ON ME… OH, YEAH!

THEN I JUMPED IN MY CAR…..

WELL, I TURNED ON THE KEY

OF COURSE THE CAR WOULDN'T START

HOW COULD THIS BE

…..
    HAPPENIN’ TO ME?

    JUMPED THE CAR OFF

…….AS I WAS DRIVIN' DOWN THE ROAD

I HEARD A BUMPIN' SOUND

A TIRE BLEW OUT

    WELL, I STOPPED THE CAR

AND I OPENED THE TRUNK

OF COURSE THE SPARE WAS FLAT
    ……IMAGINE THAT?

WE WERE RUNNING FLAT

I REACHED FOR MY CELL

TO CALL OUT FOR HELP

OF COURSE THE PHONE WAS DEAD

    WITHOUT A CHARGER IN SIGHT

FLAGGED A CAR DOWN

    JUST TO ASK FOR HELP

BLEW HIS HORN

    AS THEY DROVE ON BY

    (CHORUS )

    WELL, I WAS HAVIN'

    ONE OF THOSE DAYS

    WHEN NOTHIN'S RIGHT

ONE OF THOSE DAYS

    NO HELP IN SIGHT

ONE OF THOSE DAYS

OH YEAH, ONE OF THOSE DAYS

    (BRIDGE)

    HAVE YOU EVER HAD?

    ONE OF THOSE DAYS

    PRAY YOU NEVER HAVE
    (OH….BRING IT ON HOME, TOM!!!)

    (CHORUS)

  • Steamroller Blues (Version) - SongShot
Original version of this tune recorded in December 1969 at Sunset Sound, Warner Bros. Records. "Steamroller Blues" ("Steamroller"), was a rather bitingly brilliant Blues parody written by James Taylor, and appeared on his 1970 album 'Sweet Baby James'. It was intended to "mock" the inauthentic blues bands of the day. The song later appeared on two of Taylor's compilation albums and has been recorded by a variety of other artists, including Elvis. This version, my own, using BIAB Backing tracks that I arranged. Played along with my Ibanez Gio 'Blue' Electric and then sung along, recorded, and mixed it all up into one Hunka' Steamin' Funkafied Junk. Arrangement and Production - this version ONLY - Riff Beach via RiffWerx Productions.

    You yanked and pulled on…..
    The Strings of My Heart
    You Stole My Soul
    Tore My World Apart
    Took Control
    Right from The Start
    Chorus
    Me, Oh My…..Well…
    You had me
    Flyin’ So High
    Feet off The Ground
    Head in The Sky
    Just give me an excuse
    To Shake You Loose
    Untie this Noose
Let Me Go, Let Me Grow
    Let Me Go
    Oh, Yeah…….
    Looking in-to Your Eyes
    Like Staring into The Sun
But you’re a dark, lonely Road
When the Day is all Done
    (Chorus)
You are nothing, if not a Dream
But, you’re one mean Dream Crusher
You made me Laugh, You Made Me Scream
I melted in your hands like Butter
    You yanked and pulled on…..
    My Heart
    You Stole My Soul
    Tore My World Apart
    Oooohhh…..

Thinkin’ about some of the places that I’ve been
New York, Paris, Berlin, and Rome
Still, I’d rather be in your arms again
I just wanna’ be Back Home
Yet, here I am……out on my own
    Sometimes, feeling mighty and strong
And other times, tired….and all alone
Yet, I just keep on sailing right along
    (Chorus)
Oh, Yeah, but here I am again…….
Though, you’re out-standing on your own
(Left) Thinking of how things might have been
(When) all I wanna’ be is Back Home
Seen the rising and setting of the Sun
I swam upon The Seven Seas
Held it together and came undone
You know this heart is hard to please
    (Post-Chorus)
Oh, Yeah, but here I am again
Though, you’re out-standing on your own
Thinking of how things could have been
But, all I wanna’ be is Back Home
