The NCAA championship has never caused such debate and kerfluffle as it did with Louisiana State University’s 2023 win. Let’s discuss how privilege has plagued the LSU team's win, like the harsh words used to criticize Angel Reese for doing the same thing her white counterparts have been celebrated for doing. And unfortunately, many Black women aren't just watching this play out they have been on the receiving end of the same experience. We also want to explore how institutions are willing to change their rules. Even the best-meaning people can still be affected by the historical presence of racism and privilege.

It's Holy Week, but we always take it with a little more edge. So, rather than a sermon, we are talking about the all-male preacher lineups. It's time to end by excluding women from the 7 Last Word sermons because women were the first to carry the gospel.

Although, the church rarely discusses sexuality, the Bible has a whole book dedicated to it. Song of Solomon offers a glimpse into sexuality and mostly from the voice of a woman. They were definitely wildin’, and it’s in the Bible. Listen as we look at some of the prose used in this book of erotic poems.

About Righteous, Ratchet & Real

From the publisher's feed

This isn't church, but we are looking at life using our Christianity. We are three homegirls—Greta, Ronné, and Tikeisha, who are ministers talking about things in and out of church using The Bible, a lot of ratchetness, and some realness. We want to engage listeners in conversations they won't hear on a Sunday morning that makes them laugh, cry and walk away empowered. New episodes drop every Tuesday.
