Wow, I don’t know about you, but that’s a relief to hear! Have you ever felt inadequate to do what God is asking you to do? Maybe he has called you to go into the mission field, start a new job that you don’t feel equipped for, or become a parent. The good news is that you’re supposed to feel inadequate and depend on God. It looked unconventional and maybe even a little crazy, but there was desperation that drove them. They knew that Jesus was the only person who could heal their friend. Not only did Jesus heal this friend, but he also saved him!

There are many stories we read in the Bible where certain people are in situations that are . . . less than ideal. As people, we tend to gravitate towards safety and security, because we fear the unknown and our ability to handle it. Many times God will bring people into situations where they are not comfortable so that they may experience Him in a new way. When we first get saved we may use a phrase like, “Lord I surrender my life to You.” As we grow in our faith we start to realize just how much Jesus gave, and just how much we still have to give. There is always a deeper level of surrender that we can experience with Jesus. We can always find another thing that He will call us to give up for the sake of Him. When Jesus started his ministry he was disrupting 400 years of Pharisees taking advantage of the Law. They taught that salvation was only for the Jews. However, when Jesus came, He preached salvation for everyone! This included Jews and Gentiles. It went against so many teachings of the day, but that’s just who God is. In today’s message, Pastor Dan will be sharing about how Jesus came for everyone and not just a select few. The salvation He offers is for everyone no matter where you come from!
