On the September 2nd episode of Smackdown, Corbin entered what seemed to be JBL's limousine and was off television for a little bit. On the Oct. 17th episode of Monday Night Raw, he made his return after being introduced by JBL! In addition, JBL labeled him as the "modern-day wrestling God" before Corbin defeated Dolph Ziggler. Not long ago, Jon Moxley signed a major extension with All Elite Wrestling that also provided him with major roles outside the ring. And now Chris Jericho has a new AEW deal that gives him bigger responsibilities including a producer role, creative advisor, and a mentoring role for young talent. Much like Moxley, Jericho has been with AEW since the very beginning and has been happy with the company, so it's only fitting that he stays and obtains major roles outside the ring. According to wrestling news, Bobby Lashley said on the NotSam Wrestling podcast that he pitched went to Vince McMahon and pitched an idea for an angle about portraying a severely depressed character. Lashley was even willing to go to great lengths to make the storyline as real and unique as possible. Not surprisingly, Vince ultimately said no to the idea.
