Benjamin Goldenhour (the songplayer.) is serious about play, encouraged in chaos, and loves a good ol’ fashioned mistake; he has no idea what he is doing, but that has fortunately never been a hindrance. He lives in the woods somewhere outside Seattle with his novel-writing partner, rock-chewing mutt, and nap-dodging toddler. Listen for his new music on the second day of each month.
This month’s recording includes the Mike Antone of MTN EAR. It is about the importance of making the most of it.
Cousin Wolf is the indie-folk music project of Matt Halvorson, a musician, writer and infielder living with his family in the woods north of Seattle. He is sharing a new song on the first of every month again this year, and his song for today is called “April Chaos, Maybe May.” It’s a little song written and recorded in a hurry with his son, Zeke, to commemorate a particularly chaotic month.
Mourning Coffee is a goth/folk project out of New Jersey rooted in connection and healing. Their latest release, “A Slow Hearse Leaves Everyone Yearning,” arrived April 23, 2026, and explores the nonlinear process of mourning, transforming deeply personal experiences of loss into an immersive and introspective sonic world. Today’s song considers the idea of love at first sight through a critical lens.
Hi, I’m Ian Shuler, aka Invisible Shivers, a drummer turned songwriter in Seattle. Having just welcomed my first child into this world, I’m excited to explore the next chapter of music: dad songs.
Josh Jensen is a singer songwriter hailing from Seattle, WA. Josh's honeyed vocals and fingerstyle guitar accompany a wide range of what he dubs as PNW Americana stylings that make up his music. Siren Song is a waltz around a world on fire. Originally written last year, this was a dust-off piece that wasn’t only dusted off but shined up - with the help of guitarist Adam SoRelle.
Andy Circus is the more spell-able stage name of Aidan Gscheidle, who prefers releasing wabi-sabi voice memos instead of polished, pitch-perfect tracks. He is based in Pennsylvania and usually plays the guitar, not the piano.
Carolyn Fingyrs is the stage persona of St. Louis-based shapeshifter and spaghetti enthusiast Nick Johnson. They will be releasing a new song on the 19th of every month this year. Please oblige them with the benefit of your listening ear as you partake in an improvisational ambient bass guitar performance titled “Opening the Michael.”
