For February 2025, VEO Notations is revisiting a song written back in 2012 that had yet to be recorded. “Last Life Livin’” was written during springtime in Austin, Texas, during a formative chapter of vagabond days. Would love to see some country dancing with an all-human musical ensemble to go along with it one day.
Cycle of Hands is the alt-somersault genre hydra project of evalynne mclaughlin. She is a Seattle area native who has been helplessly subject to the whims of musical obsession and inspiration for as long as instruments were within reach. She can be found making musical loops or playing piano for hours in a daze. She is releasing a new song on the 14th of every month this year, and her song for today is called “Winter.”
Tyler Thompson is just some guy from Portland making music when he needs to. This is called “Let You Go.”
Cape Disappointment is the moniker for Seattle-based songwriter, Jeffrey P. Martin. He writes “raw, honest, stripped-down” songs about places, loss, love, and life. He’s been playing all over the country for more than a decade. Everywhere from New York to Seattle. He is releasing a new song on the 12th of every month this year, and his song for today is called “Do You Wanna Find Love?”
William Cremin makes various kinds of pop music under the name Extrawilliam. He is releasing a new song on the 11th of every month this year. “HOWSITGOIN” was inspired by Brian Eno’s songwriting class, drones, and an unsuccessfully contested 20-year old traffic ticket.
Quinn Mulligan is a Portland, Oregon Musician and filmmaker. Quinn will be releasing a song on the 10th each month for 2025. February’s song is called “Monkey”.
Rebecca Jasso is a singer/songwriter and illustrator from Chicago. She is writing a new song every eighth of the month this year. She writes a lot of songs lately on the themes of wildlife and conservation, and this one is called Nothing Left.
ChiMarronage, composed of Nicole Rawls and Forest Brooks, is a duo who blends poetry with music to create soundscapes that take us into the dreamscapes for our collective liberation. This month we bring you “The God Equation” - our formulation of what love is.
Cee Goods, an independent hip hop artist, creates an island vibe about the back and forth of a toxic love.
