Ep161 - Dru Bex new album, Black Men are successful in the USA

CHH artist Dru Bex recently dropped a new album called “Strange Days Long Nights”.  He called in to discuss his album and new tour coming with stops in NY among other places.  

CNN recently released an article proclaiming that Black Men are actually successful in the U.S.  This sparked a debate because @ProphetLink and @DJLostNFound don’t believe in the number, but @JoeBossRadio believes the article.

Ep160 - Donelle Valentine Interview, Bronx Students Lockout, CHH Battles - Healthy or Naw

Donelle Valentine came into the studio to discuss his album “The Remedy”, in which he sings and raps.  We also got him to freestyle a few bars.  He opened up about his personal struggles and the reason he is involved in Christian music.  

We later discussed the positive and negative effects of Christian Rap Battles.  The Saga and Voice the Poet have a scheduled battle which is for entertainment.  Unfortunately, J Monty has threatened to make a diss record toward Tedashii because of alleged lyrical theft by the latter.  

Finally, a Bronx school staged a peaceful protest in which they locked out the administration for 3 days because of a racist video where the participants didn’t receive any consequences.

Ep159 - Derek Minor and Canon Concert recap, British School suspends LGBT lessons, Deraj Missing flyer controversy 

This past weekend, we got the opportunity to see a concert by Derek Minor and Canon.  We discussed the concert and the performances in depth, comparing and contrasting them.  

Also we discussed a British school that suspended its LGBT lessons due to severe backlash and protesting.  

@JoeBossRadio and @ProphetLink had a very intense discussion about the Deraj Missing post on IG.  The post caused many followers to be upset about the use of a Missing flyer as many of them actually have friends and family to go missing.

Ep156 - Valentines Day, Teen Dating awareness, Grammy Recap

With Valentines Day approaching, we discussed a few ideas, and past celebrations from each of the host.  DJ LostNFound says they don’t celebrate it, Prophet Link makes it a family affair, and Joe Boss reminisces as it was his first date with his wife.  

Recording artist, Bow Wow, was recently apart of a scandal in which he was beat up by his girlfriend in an elevator. This lead to a discussion on teen dating, emotional abuse and more.  

The 2019 Grammy’s saw a slew of new artist win the coveted award.  Cardi B, who was nominated for 5 Grammys actually won Rap Album of the Year.  Since then, she received very negative feed back and has since shut down her Instagram account.
