Rising 365

🎙️ Rising 365 | Episode Title: "Made in His Image"

Genesis 9 reminds us of a truth that changes everything: God made us in His image. That’s not just a theological statement—it’s a declaration of worth, identity, and purpose.

In a world that often tries to redefine value, this promise stands firm: You were created with intention. You reflect the Creator. And because of that, your life—and the lives of those around you—are sacred.

The rainbow in Genesis 9 wasn’t just a beautiful moment in the sky. It was a covenant. A divine promise that God would provide everything we need. Not just physically—but emotionally, spiritually, relationally.

But let’s be honest: there are days we feel like we’re drowning. Overwhelmed. Disconnected. That’s why thankfulness isn’t just a feeling—it’s a discipline. And one way we show our gratitude is by developing positive coping skills that anchor us when the waters rise.

So today on Rising 365, we’re talking about how to cherish the image of God in ourselves and others. How to lean into His promises. And how to build habits that help us rise—not just once, but every single day.

Because you weren’t made to sink. You were Made in His Image.

🎙️ Episode Title: Rising 365 – Helpful Correcting with Goodall and Genesis 8

🛡️ In this powerful episode of Rising 365, we sit down with veteran and corrections officer Goodall to explore the deep hope and encouragement found in Genesis 8. From the storm to the stillness, we reflect on how God’s promise of renewal speaks directly into the lives of those working in correctional environments—and anyone navigating seasons of hardship.

💬 Goodall shares personal insights from his time in service and behind the walls, revealing how Scripture offers meaning, action, and purpose even in the most challenging places. Whether you're in ministry, public service, or simply seeking a fresh start, this conversation will uplift and inspire.

📖 “Then God remembered Noah…” — Genesis 8:1 That moment of remembrance is a turning point—and it can be yours too.

In this episode, we reflect on the powerful moment in Genesis 7 when Noah is described as righteous before God—a man chosen to carry the weight of humanity’s survival. Imagine the depth of that compliment: to be seen by God as trustworthy enough to preserve life itself. It’s a humbling reminder that righteousness isn’t just about personal integrity—it’s about being positioned for divine purpose.

But Genesis 7 also carries a sobering truth. While Noah responded to God’s warning, many did not. The flood wasn’t just a natural disaster—it was the consequence of ignoring God’s voice. Today, we ask: Are we listening? Are we living in a way that invites God’s favor and protection?

Join us as we explore what it means to be “seen” by God, and how obedience can shape the future—for ourselves and for generations to come.

Let’s rise together—365 days a year! 🌟 Tag a friend who needs inspiration! 🔥

Welcome back to Rising 365, the podcast dedicated to inspiring and empowering you to embrace the opportunity to rise with each new day. Rising daily is a challenge for many of us—including myself—but my hope is that the words you hear in these episodes will help you rise every single day of the year.

• Recap of Genesis 4: Sin and negative choices want you; are you going to let them have you?

Genesis 5: Know where you come from and what your name means

• Knowing where you and your family come from can help you see if you want to keep some things they are known for and what you want to change.
• Knowing your name's meaning can help you see if you are living up to that.
• When you put these meanings together, some interpret the sequence as saying something like, “Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow; the Blessed God shall come down, teaching that His death shall bring the despairing comfort (or rest).” This poetic interpretation is seen by some as a hint of the gospel message hidden within the Old Testament text.

Genesis 6: Are you ready to do the crazy thing

• Things in our lives will eventually come to it’s judgment day.
• You can be one of the doomed or saved side of the judgment.

Thank you for tuning in! My hope is that each episode sparks inspiration and gives you the courage to seize the gift of a new day.

It’s Been A While

• Let’s revisit the story of Adam and Eve:
  • Expelled from Eden for choosing not to trust God.
  • Despite this, they embraced their calling to be fruitful and fulfill God's purpose.
• Their journey continues:
  • They had two sons, Cain and Abel.
  • A timeless struggle arose—jealousy.
• Lessons from their story:
  • God warns us we have a choice:
    • Let sin and selfishness rule us, or
    • Choose a better, righteous path.
    • I have made risky choices that has caused things to never be right.
  • Move slowly in life:
    • Discern the ripple effects of your actions.
    • Consider the outcomes before following through.
  • Trust in God’s unwavering faithfulness:
    • He remains steadfast, no matter your choices.

• Many tools to study the Bible.
• We are looking at these chapters as if we have never read them before and seeing if something can encourage Rise each new day with each new chapter.
• Wesley Huff and Joe Rogan, last week.
• Eric shared a few things about what makes Eric Eric
• Genesis 3 in my NIV is simply titled The Fall, if you could give Genesis 3 a titl,e what would it be?
• While spending time in Genesis 3, what jumps out of the chapter?
• What are some warnings found in the Chapter?
• Who is at fault for the results of their choices?
• Does God give up on us when we choose our way over His?
• What are two things that encourage you from Genesis 3 that as you face a new day, you desire to face that day?
• If Genesis 3 was to be captured in a picture, what would that picture look like?
