In May this year we sat down with Mike during the Memorial Day service and he mentioned the idea of prevenient grace and how it's played out in his life since the 1970's.
You'll hear about near death experiences, skydiving, motor cycles and semi-trucks. This is really going to bless your day as you hear Mike's story.

Are you a self-imposed victim of identity theft? Have you allowed your true identity in Christ to be stolen from you because you haven't aggressively held on to who God says you are because of your relationship and connection with Jesus? The foundation of who you are is you are an adopted child of God! As 1 John 3:1 says, "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!" Until we take the initiative and hold on to this truth with all we have, we'll continually wrestle with our self-esteem, our self value, our sense of worth, our identity, our confidence, our peace, our assurance. This is the bedrock upon which our true identity is built! God has placed this amazing offer in front of each of us. He's given us the authorization to refer to him as Daddy, this term of immense intimacy and personal connection. We are his beloved!

This Sunday we'll be at RISING Weekend, where Chuck will continue building upon this idea of God as our Father as we dive into the richness of the Lord's Prayer.

Financial Peace University has been a classroom setting opportunity created by Dave Ramsey with the primary goal of giving people financial freedom in their lives. We offered this class at RISING Church in late spring of 2018 and we have the chance to hear the impact this class has had as we talk to David and Tommy. We hope you enjoy this podcast episode.

Have you ever wrestled with your identity, your purpose, your self-esteem, self-value or who exactly you are? Do you have confidence, peace, assurance & strength in who you are? Over the next few weeks at RISING we'll be asking the key question, "who are you?" Who are we because of Jesus and why should knowing who we are because of Jesus give us a peace which surpasses understanding, a confidence & assurance even in the midst of the storm, and a proper, healthy self-esteem.

In early June RISING Students took a team of rising 7th and 8th graders to Bayou La Batre on a missions encounter. They had the chance to serve with each other along with YouthWorks by painting home, leading kid's club and lots more. Katie and Coco take a few minutes to share their experience with us.

Chris is a good friend and great servant as he serves in the Europe, Africa and the Middle East. This is a great opportunity to get to know Chris a little more and understand what he's doing to serve others.

This week, Jalen, our Rising Student Pastor shared about a life principle we should be in line with. So many of us are satisfied with the bare minimum, but so much more is possible. We need to learn what it means to Ask, Seek and Knock.

Every 4 years we enjoy the World Cup and this summer we took advantage of the opportunity to invite our friends from RPL to join us at RISING Church for the morning. It was a great morning. We're excited for everyone who was able to make this morning a reality.
