This "royal official" from Capernaum was willing to inconvenience himself greatly to go to Jesus in Cana, walking uphill 25 miles to find Jesus. Once he found Jesus, this "royal official" was willing to humble himself and make his need known to Jesus. He swallowed his pride as an important government official, and begged Jesus to come down to Capernaum and heal his son. And finally, when Jesus said "Go, your son will live", this royal official took Jesus at his word and acted accordingly. We wrestled with the question, are we willing to take these same 3 key action steps when it comes to our sons & daughters? The reality is as Fathers, we have been appointed by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords to play a very special role in the lives of our kids. This is our royal assignment. So how are we doing as "royal officials"? Are we following this "royal official's" lead and example?
