Nico and Shane are joined by Shannon Braswell to share their opinions about the newly enthroned Robert Provost (Pope Leo XIV).
The New Pope stated that he was inspired to take the name Leo after Pope Leo XIII (reigned from 1878 to 1903), the founder of Catholic Social Teaching. The guys look at Pope Leo XIII's encyclical Rerum Novarum, that established Catholic Social Teaching. The encyclical articulates a stance on Economics (the responsibilities between the working classes, managerial classes, wealthy, and the state) along with the Church's stance on the role of Women, and the dignity of the Family Unit.
In a brief conversation, the guys hash this out.
