Garments are found all throughout the scriptures whether it was Joseph’s Coat of many colors, the whole armor of God, or the parable of the man with the wedding garments to name a few. As Christians, God has chosen to clothe us in righteousness but that often means putting off one thing so that we can pick up the garments He truly intends for us. One day there will be a wedding supper of the Lamb—are you wearing the garments He gave you?

Every believer will be faced with temptation at some point in their life. In Genesis, God cautioned Cain “Sin is crouching at your door and its desire is for you…but you must rule over it.” Being a believer doesn’t exempt you from temptation but it does empower you to triumph. When we choose to walk in the Spirit we won’t fulfill the lusts of the flesh. God has empowered us by the power of His Spirit to win every battle.

The preparation of our heart should be the chief concern of our life. If we don’t allow God’s Word to mature in our heart we’ll never bear the fruit He desires nor will we be able to build His Kingdom. We have to become more intentional about allowing the Word of God to search our heart and change us so we are ready to receive the seed.

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and every transgressor of God’s law was deserving of death. Luckily for us, Jesus willingly took on every sin so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. Those of us who have put on Christ have been buried with Christ in death so that we also can walk in the newness of life— a life where we have become new creations no longer conformed to this world but transformed by the renewing of our minds by the Word of God and power of His Spirit.

From the beginning of time even to this present day, it has always been God’s desire that He might dwell with us. God gave Moses the blueprints of the Tabernacle so that He could build a Holy Place for the Presence of God to dwell. Later on, David desired to build the Lord a better house and so he prepared the materials; but it was eventually built according to the wisdom and direction of Solomon. The only problem is, the fullness of God could never dwell in houses made by human hands. Today, we are the temple of the Holy Ghost both individually and collectively. David sought a place for the presence of God to dwell but we became that habitation.

God wants us to have wisdom in the inner parts of our heart. It’s not acceptable that we be a vessel that looks clean on the outside but is filthy within. God wants to flood our heart with truth and light—only then can we become the vessel He intends for us to be.
