In God’s presence we find our reason for living. God has given everyone a unique call and purpose but He is the only one who can give us the grace to finish our race. Things will try to trip us up, discourage us, and distract us from the call but we must persist because it’s His grace that keeps us running well. If you make mistakes that’s not the time to quit running. A just man falls seven times but gets back up again. You’re going to finish strong and accomplish everything God has for you!

Many people today think they can obtain sonship by walking in obedience but the truth is we desire to obey because God has already called us sons. The key to maturity is consistent obedience to the truth of God’s Word. It’s not measured by our natural age or spiritual tenure to salvation. It’s measured by who acknowledge and submit to His authority with obedience. Hearing without obedience is deception but those who are willing and obedient will see the blessings of God.

Jesus spent the first 32 years of His life observing the Jewish Passover according to an Old Covenant, that was characterized by the shedding of blood of bulls and goats. The day before His crucifixion He gathered His disciples into the upper room and said, “I’ve long desired to eat THIS Passover with you.” As he broke the bread and raised His glass, He signified the dawn of a new covenant—one that wasn’t characterized by religious belief, positional authority, or finite understanding of what God was doing in one moment. He took up a cross and personified a new commandment to love one another above all else!

Welcome to the River Northwest Church. We trust this broadcast will bless you.

Everyone these days seems to be chasing blessings. Did you know that when you called upon the name of the Lord you entered into a covenant with the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills and the hills too?

Throughout the Scriptures there is continual evidence that God’s blessing has always followed His people beginning with faithful Abraham and extending to Isaac, Jacob, and every one of his descendants. That blessing came under an inferior covenant. How much more so under a greater covenant will we also become partakers of the Blessings of Abraham?

Contrary to popular opinion, the blessing of God doesn’t mean life will be easy. Isaac experienced persecution and opposition when the blessing came but there came a day when even his enemies were at peace with Him and they said “God is with you!”

The blessing of God will surely come!! It is your inheritance as a child of the King!

God revealed Himself first to Gideon as Jehovah Shalom, the Lord our peace. In the midst of chaos, opposition, and war God spoke peace to a fearful and uncertain Gideon and this was enough to enable him to accomplish all God had called him to. The Lord didn’t reveal Himself to Gideon as faith or strength or might—it was peace. Today, we may not be facing natural enemies but we are facing spiritual battles and opposition and the same Lord calls us to that place of peace that empowered Gideon. Be settled and find peace in what God has spoken over you because at the cross Jesus triumphed over every enemy making peace through the blood of His cross!

Our love must abound in knowledge and discernment. God revealed Himself to Israel as Jehovah Rapha—the Lord who heals. If the Israelites leaving Egypt experienced God’s mighty healing hand under an old covenant how much more should we experience it under a new covenant?

Countless individuals encountered the power of a healing God during Jesus earthly ministry and even more encountered that same power after He was resurrected through His disciples. God revealed Himself to Abraham as Adonai. It’s a name that points to the fact God is Master and Lord. Just like the Centurion acknowledged authority, when we acknowledge Him as our Lord and Master we can have confidence that what He says goes in our life. This is a place of security and confidence that He alone is responsible for the results.

There was a moment when the Lord tested His lordship in Abraham’s life and called him to sacrifice his only son of promise. In that moment when Abraham answered God’s Lordship with faith and obedience it was in that place He also came to know Jehovah Jireh—the Lord who sees and provides.
