Words are seeds and what we choose to speak over our lives can cause us to reap an exponential harvest of the words that were previously spoken. Like the fruit? Keep speaking. Praying for crop failure? Change your words today! Few people understand the power of faith (or doubt) filled words but what we choose to believe and the words we choose to speak have governing power over the outcome of our lives. We all want an abundant harvest of good fruit in so it’s time to change our words and change our life!

Our confidence in God increases for the next thing as we build a history of walking with Him. When seasons shifted Abraham stepped out at the Lord’s word without really knowing where he was going. All he knew was that there would be a blessing for his obedience. The steps of a good man are ordered of the Lord so when we have accepted God there is a perfect plan for us to walk in. When we hear His voice (Word) and obey, He will direct our steps and we will walk in the Promises He has given us.

God wants us to be filled with His Spirit and Jesus asserted that if any man was thirsty he could come to Him and drink. There is a River of Life flowing from the Throne of God but we must be diligent to keep ourselves from distractions and other things that would compete with Him. We must be careful, direct, and intentional in our pursuits. As we allow ourselves to be filled with living water we will find that we have been filled with all the fullness of God.

In the waters of baptism we are buried with Christ so we can be raised again in the newness of life. It is the outward sign of an internal change that has already taken place in our heart. Jesus died for us so that we could enter into fellowship with Him. Have you accepted Jesus as your Savior? Going to church doesn’t do it, being a good person doesn’t do it, and being religious doesn’t do it either. If you believe with your heart and confess with your mouth— you shall be saved. Will you turn from your sins and call upon Him? Today is the day of salvation.

There are many voices in the world competing for our attention. Some are good, some are bad, some are indifferent. Regardless of how many voices surround us, we have to tune our ears to hear the voice of God above all others. Jesus said His sheep knew His voice and wouldn’t follow a stranger. We are His sheep and we are also God’s children. Just as a sheep knows his masters voice or a child knows his father’s voice— we should strive to hear and obey the voice of God in every part of our life.

God has called each of His people into a place of fellowship that is rooted in relationship rather than mere spiritual activity. Just as the Old Testament priests were called to stoke the fire and ensure its flame never died out, so we have been called to a passionate relationship with the Lord. We must learn to abide in Him in every circumstance. When we abide, our flame will be sustained no matter how the world tries to extinguish it. With every altar that is built and every fire that is kindled, you will find that the greatest sacrifice you can give is you.

Many people are searching the world over for materialistic blessings but when we intentionally choose to meditate on the Lord and His Word there are blessings that come upon us that are much more than just financial. God’s intention is that we would receive a blessing so great that it impacts us physically, emotionally, financially, relationally, and spiritually. As we choose to plant ourselves and grow roots we will create a fruitful harvest that impacts generations.“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper” (Psalm 1:1-3)

Jesus didn’t come to Earth to just fulfill one role. There are many facets to His nature along with many titles God chose to bestow upon Him. Among some of the most well known names were— Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. Understanding why those names were granted to Him tells us everything there is to know about what we have received through His life, death, & resurrection.

If you don’t eat and drink you die! Our spiritual appetites are a necessity that not only sustains us, but also help us grow and walk in the fullness of everything God has for us. It can be tempting to fall into the redundancy of religion and routine but the cry of our heart should always be to encounter Him on a deeper level than we’ve ever known before.
