River of Life Church Long Prairie (Audio)

This week we look at the first few verses in Ephesians. We see that Paul writes a poem or prayer that tells the story of God from multiple angles. A rescue story that shows a God who never stops pursuing us.

This week we begin a new series that will take us through the book of Ephesians. A letter Paul wrote to the church in Ephesus. But before we dive in Pastor Josiah walks us through what it took or looked like to write a letter in the 1st century. Giving us some background to the city of Ephesus, setting us up to go deeper and understand this letter better.

This morning we look at one of the miracles that the apostle John recorded. The story of Jesus healing a blind man, we dig deep and see that there is so much more to the story and lessons for us to learn.

This week we conclude our series and have part 2 of the topic we began last week on apocalyptic writing. This week we take a look at the book of Revelation. Using the the Bible Project video, Pastor Josiah challenges us to take a fresh look at the final book of the Bible and be challenged and encouraged by what we read. We wrap up with 3 things to remember when reading not only books like Revelation, but in how we approach and read all of scripture.

This week in our Foundational series we are going into our final topic for this series. But before we do that, we need to first do some groundwork so that we can truly understand what the Bible has for us. Today we take a look at a couple of Bible Project videos to help us understand the language and literature of apocalyptic writings.

What happens when we die? Where do we go? Pastor Josiah walks us through different passages of scripture, pointing out the different terms used in both the Old Testament and New Testament and how those terms have been translated.

This week in our series Foundational, Pastor Josiah talks about worship? What is worship? Is it just the singing portion of our services or is it more? Why do we worship? Is it necessary?

We continue our series, Foundational. This week we are challenged with several question when it comes to our core beliefs, What are we rooted to? How deep is our faith root system? Are we rooted to belief systems or are we solely rooted in Christ alone? How can we measure if we are truly rooted in Him?

What are our core beliefs? This week Pastor Josiah walks us through the Apostles' Creed. When did it show up in church history and why? What do the 3 statements of the creed mean?

Pastor Josiah challenges us to think about what is the central focus of what we believe, and does that bring us closer together in unity or are we allowing it to divide us?
