If you are a parent, you know how persistent your children can be when your children want something.   They have a tendency to keep asking, and asking, and asking until they get what they want.  Any parent knows how irritating this can be!    But did you know that God likes it when his children are persistent?  The thread of persistance is all throughout the Bible!  Jesus wants us to be persistent in our pursuit of Him.  Pastor Jennifer Church shares how persistent prayer gets God's attention and draws us closer to Him.

God wants us to flourish in our lives. To flourish means to thrive and have good success.  When a fruit tree flourishes it bears much fruit.    In Part 1 of the Like A Tree series Pastor Mark Church talked about the importance of being rooted and grounded in God so that we can grow and have success.  In Part 2 he continues by talking about the importance of being planted in the house of God and he shares the secret to having success in every area of our lives.  God bless you as listen today! 

The Bible uses a tree many times as an example of completeness and fullness.  An apple tree starts with a small apple seed planted in the ground and over time it grows and matures until it produces fruit.   God has designed it for a specific purpose.  Apple trees produce apples...not oranges.   In the same way God wants each one of us to grow and have a life of significance and purpose. For us to be able to do that, we must be in sync with God's plan and purpose.   We must be rooted and grounded in Him.   God bless you today as you discover how to get "in sync" with God's plan and live out the purpose He has made for you!

Did you know God has given you a privileged position in Christ?  The Bible says in Christ we are seated in heavenly places with Him!  We are not just worms in the dirt that must beg God from a position of unworthiness and unrighteousness when we pray.  God raised up Christ but we are raised up with Him. What that means is that we have a position of legal authority with God because we are seated with Christ!  God has placed all things under Jesus' feet and if we are seated with Him that means all things are also under our feet as the body of Christ.  Knowing this truth, when we pray, we are praying for a position of heaven.  We not only pray for victory in our lives, but we pray FROM a position of victory.   If you are praying and it seems like your prayers are going nowhere, this message will challenge you to change the focus of your position in prayer.  God bless you as you learn to Take Your Place!

We've all done it.....we are all guilty of going through the motions of our daily lives and our busy schedules, leaving God out and never giving prayer a second thought.  Then....wham!!!!!!.....a crisis happens and suddenly we become prayer warriors!   But, prayer should be our first response and not our last resort! There is a saying that says, 'Get all you can, can all you get and sit on the can."   Sadly that is the mentality of many people in our world today.  They live to get, get, get and gain, gain, gain regardless of who gets in their way.  This must have also been a problem in Bible days because James' addresses the issue in his writings.  We continue the Real Life Series with part 9 and a message by Pastor Jennifer Church that challenges us to live our lives as Jesus taught us to live.   In God's kingdom it isn't about how much we gain, it's Living A Life Worth Losing.
