Sunday’s message from River’s Edge Church.

Senior Pastors Luke and Katherine Fletcher communicate the vision for 2019 and beyond.

Across the church they want to (1) Focus on mission, (2) See numerical growth in salvations & attendance, and (3) Develop leaders & structures that maintain health.

The key focus for 2019 is STRENGTH. “Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power” (Ephesians 6:1).

Dr Narelle Coetzee’s podcast discusses the Giants we come up against.  Looking at Scripture from  Numbers 13:1-3, 16.

This episode is asking “Are you fighting the right giant?” and “Are you listening to the wrong report?”.

Points from this message: (i) Silence the thoughts in your head – put God’s word in its place;  (ii) Don’t exaggerate.  Take the emotion out or the situation and be specific, always bringing your requests to God;  (iii) Be careful of confronting or stating that the giant defines you.  Your past does not define your future; and (iv) Which giant are you facing? – Cut it down to size, it won’t keep you from the promise land.
