If you’re running out of ideas of how to keep the kids amused, then why not bring them to Monaco? There’s the Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology of Monaco, which offers, during the summer holidays, activities rich in discovery and unforgettable experiences. Founded in 1902, the building was originally located at the time on The Rock and marked desire to safeguard and promote heritage. It is now at the Jardin Exotique and there are plenty of events going on to keep the children amused. You could also celebrate a birthday there, the museum organises your child’s birthday, in a unique setting. During birthdays, there are activities, workshops and games for children. The activities are original and educational, chosen by the family and the workshops are adapted to the age and the taste of the child. Another idea for children is the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco. It’s open every day except Christmas Day and the Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend and there’s no shortage of opportunities to discover the ocean floor. Currently, with Polar Mission exhibition, each visitor plays the role of a field reporter on a polar mission, armed with their entrance tickets that takes them from a press card and triggers content and information, throughout their visit. At the end of the tour, visitors are invited to hand over their report on the Poles, as a special opportunity to express their thoughts and feelings about these remote lands, and relate back what they have retained. How? By choosing a title, a cover design and their own photos as illustrations, just like a reporter. It’s an opportunity to create a souvenir of their expedition to these extreme territories and share it with their family and friends. Visitors can also get involved with the Oceanographic Institute and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, by actively supporting the actions carried out to protect the Poles, and in particular the creation of the new protected marine areas in the polar oceans. As an individual, each visitor can take action on a daily basis, contributing to the preservation of these remote territories. The ambassador of the exhibition Melanie Laurent reminds visitors that the future of the Poles is also ours, and that if your polar mission is coming to an end, it is in fact here and now, that it really begins.
In addition, at the Oceanographic Museum, you can discover the escape game, the immersive 360 degrees, the touch pool, the Oceano club, guided tours, and again birthday parties at the museum.
