The Department of Cultural Affairs of Monaco is presenting the “Path of the Rainier III sculptures”, a heritage and artistic route, with more than 150 works to discover throughout the Principality.

As part of the commemorations of the Centenary of Prince Rainier III, the Department of Cultural Affairs of Monaco is promoting the artistic heritage of the Principality by launching a discovery trail of sculptures arranged in public spaces.

Under his leadership, the Government acquired many works, notably between 1987 and 2004 as part of the Monte-Carlo International Sculpture Festival. These sculptures have been installed in the public spaces, to create an open-air museum in Monaco, making the works of art freely accessible to the public.

The Rainier III Sculpture Path will be launched on May 31st, 2023 as part of the Rainier III Centenary Commemoration festivities.

Throughout the proposed route, visitors will be able to discover the works by scanning a QR code installed nearby. An interactive map will allow everyone to organize their route according to the district visited. This project was led by the Department of Cultural Affairs in collaboration with the Heritage Institute, the Department of Urban Planning and the Interministerial Delegation responsible for the Digital Transition of Monaco.
