The Prince's Government has implemented a water management plan and activated an “alert” system aimed at "guaranteeing the rational use of water resources", due to the drought in the region.
Composed of four alert thresholds ranging from simple vigilance to a crisis situation, the drought plan will make it possible to significantly reduce water consumption, prolong the use of reserves and delay the use of emergency measures accordingly.
Faced with an already worrying situation even before the summer season, the Government has activated level 2 of its new drought alert", similar to that of the neighbouring department of the Alpes-Maritimes.
The measures were introduced from 13th May 2023. For more details on the measures and bans introduced go to [email protected]
