    They have produced 16 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hits, and 26 Billboard R&B No. 1 hits.
    They are among a handful of producers to have No. 1 records in three consecutive decades, with number ones in the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s.

    Lionel Brockman Richie Jr. (born June 20, 1949) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and television judge. He rose to fame in the 1970s as a songwriter and the co-lead singer of funk band the Commodores; writing and recording the hit singles "Easy", "Sail On", "Three Times a Lady" and "Still", with the group before his departure. In 1980, he wrote and produced the US Billboard Hot 100 number one single "Lady" for Kenny Rogers. The following year, he wrote and produced the single "Endless Love", which he recorded as a duet with Diana Ross; it remains among the top 20 bestselling singles of all time, and the biggest career hit for both artists.In 1982, he officially launched his solo career with the album Lionel Richie, which sold over four million copies and spawned the singles "You Are", "My Love", and the number one single "Truly".
    His second album, Can't Slow Down (1983), reached number one on the US Billboard 200 chart and sold over 20 million copies worldwide, becoming one of the best-selling albums of all time; and spawned the number one singles "All Night Long (All Night)" and "Hello". He then co-wrote the 1985 charity single "We Are the World" with Michael Jackson, which sold over 20 million copies. His third album, Dancing on the Ceiling (1986), spawned the number one single "Say You, Say Me" (from the 1985 film White Nights) and the No. 2 hit title track. From 1986 to 1996, Richie took a break from recording; he has since then released seven studio albums. He has joined the singing competition American Idol to serve as a judge, starting from its sixteenth season.
    During his solo career, Richie became one of the most successful balladeers of the 1980s, and has sold over 100 million records worldwide, making him one of the world's best-selling artists of all time.He has won four Grammy Awards, including Song of the Year for "We Are the World", and Album of the Year for Can't Slow Down."Endless Love" was nominated for an Academy Award; while "Say You, Say Me" won both the Academy Award and the Golden Globe award for Best Original Song.In 2016, Richie received the Songwriters Hall of Fame's highest honor, the Johnny Mercer Award.In 2022, he was inducted into the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame, and he will receive the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song by the Library of Congress.He has also been nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.In May 2022, Richie was announced as an inductee to that year's class.

    Green was included in the Rolling Stone list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time, ranking at No. 65,as well as its list of the 100 Greatest Singers, at No. 14.
    On August 26, 2004, Green was honored as a BMI Icon at the annual BMI Urban Awards.
    In 2004, he was inducted into the Gospel Music Association's Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
    That same year, he was inducted into The Songwriters Hall of Fame.
    He was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2009 BET Awards on June 24, 2009.
    In 2009, Al Green was inducted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame.
    Green was recognized on December 7, 2014, as a Kennedy Center Honors recipient.

    Singer-songwriter, producer and actor. Levert was best known for singing with his brother, Sean Levert, and friend Marc Gordon of the vocal group LeVert. Levert was also a member of LSG, a supergroup comprising Keith Sweat, Johnny Gill, and himself. Levert is the son of Eddie Levert, who is the lead singer of the R&B/soul vocal group the O'Jays.
    Levert wrote and produced songs for other artists such as Patti LaBelle, Barry White, Stephanie Mills, Anita Baker, Eugene Wilde, Teddy Pendergrass, James Ingram, Freddie Jackson, Chuckii Booker, the Rude Boys, New Edition, Men at Large and 1 of the Girls. During the release of Groove On, Levert appeared in the group Black Men United for the hit single "U Will Know" for the film Jason's Lyric, the movie's soundtrack. who was participated in the group and joining with Keith Sweat, Christopher Williams and Levert's former mentor Joe Little of the Rude Boys. In 1997, Levert teamed up again with fellow singers Keith Sweat and Johnny Gill, to form the supergroup, LSG.The trio released the album Levert-Sweat-Gill the same year, selling over two million copies it was followed by LSG2 in 2003.
    He had released nine solo albums, six with LeVert, two with his father Eddie Levert, two with LSG, as well as discovering the R&B groups the Rude Boys, Men at Large and 1 of the Girls. Levert was also part of the R&B group Black Men United.
    In My Songs debuted and peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200, becoming his highest-charting effort, and won Levert his first Grammy Award in the Best Traditional R&B Performance for the title track at the 50th awards ceremony.
