Hubert has been visiting the flag ship paralympic fan zone at Battersea Power Station, which was opened by Paralympians Danielle Brown MBE and Kylie Grimes. In this podcast Hubert speaks to Kylie about the personal impact of her paralympic achievements, what impact she feels they have on women’s sport and the impact she hopes the fan zones will have.

Ocean Outdoor and Paralympics GB have launched for the first time paralympic fan zone locations around England for fans to get together, watch the games, socialist and try out various different sports. Hubert has visited the flag ship location at Battersea Power station, and he managed to grab a chat with the Power Station’s marketing director Louise Errington-Thomas.

This time sports fans will be able to enjoy the Paralympic game sin a very different way, as Ocean Outdoor together with Paralympics GB are putting on Fan Zone events in different locations around the country for fans to get together, connect with each other and soak up the atmosphere of the games. Hubert has been speaking to Ocean Outdoor to find out more.

Have you ever wondered about taking up rowing as a blind or partially sighted person whether that might just be for pleasure or maybe having your sights on representing Paralympics GB at a future Paralympic Games?

Well, RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey recently caught up with Nick Baker, who is Paralympic Head Coach at British Rowing to find out the best ways to start rowing as a visually impaired person whether it is at your local rowing club or looking at the pathways of getting into the Paralympics GB Rowing Squad.
