RNIB’s 150th Anniversary Feature: Blind Aviator Miles Hilton-Barber

Listen Later

This year marks charity RNIB’s 150th Anniversary and to celebrate we’ve reached out to inspiring figures to talk about their achievements and living with sight loss.
Miles Hilton-Barber is a blind British adventurer that is most notably known for his 55-day microlight flight from London to Sydney.
But things weren’t always easy for Miles and it took him 30 years to accept losing his sight and decide that being blind wasn’t going to stop him from achieving his dream of travel and adventure.
Talking about turning his life around, Miles chatted with RNIB Connect Radio’s Simon Pauley.
You can join our Anniversary celebrations on social media by using the hashtag #RNIB150.
