This reflects a global crisis, as the World Health Organization identifies road traffic injuries as the leading cause of death for individuals aged 5 to 29. UNICEF has also expressed urgent concerns about the rising number of young lives tragically impacted or lost on our roads, some as young as five. It's crucial to remember that these statistics represent real lives and futures at risk. The fundamental truth is that road crashes are preventable, not unavoidable accidents. Jacque speaks to a commuter advocate group, the Passenger Forum, on how to work towards a future where every road is safe, every life is valued, and no one has to suffer the consequences of a preventable road crash.
