In this episode I bring you conversation with Counselling Psychologists Dr Abiola Muhammed Ogunfowora and Dr Anjali Chaudri. Abiola and Anjali are recent graduates of the doctorate in counselling psychology from Trinity college Dublin. We discuss their roads to psychology, 'Black Therapists Ireland' and a new initiative they have started called Racism on the Couch highlighting systemic racism in Psychology and providing a community for psychologists and aspiring psychologists from minority backgrounds. Abiola and Anjali provide valuable advice on how to provide effective therapy to someone of a different cultural background which is so important. They also highlight the common mistakes therapists make in this area. I am so grateful to Abiola and Anjali for their time and I really enjoyed our conversation. I hope you enjoy.
