Roadside Reader

Our last bookcast! No, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies hasn't made us quit, but we are changing things up! We're reformatting the bookcast so that every month there will be two episodes of the book club discussions (at 50% and 100% completion) which will liven discussions, and in between those two episodes, we'll have a podcast chosen at random. Could be gaming, could be movies, could be social commentary, who knows what'll be randomly selected!

Things really picked up during the last half of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies! Unfortunately, it's still a mess. ((Sorry for the late upload! Things have been rough lately in the personal life.))

Well, we thought it couldn't get worse last week, but boy did we get proven wrong! Characters take a southward turn in the latest 25% of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

Ahh, February! Month of Love and Friendship.... and ZOMBIES! We eat our hearts out literally this month with Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, and boy, it's not looking good! Ally takes charge, Helga flips out, I am disappointed, and Tasha is simply done.

It's technically still Wednesday so the podcast isn't late this week! Hurrah! This week we have an absolutely amazing podcast! We were lucky enough to sit down with the author of Feast of Fates, Christian A Brown! We talked about his series, life, and a few serious issues as well, so definitely a must listen to! Also, Helga's views on the Nordic countries are purely her own, so don't send anyone else any hate mail!

Another week, another day late. So sorry about that guys! I just started classes again this week, so it's been a bit of a juggle between full-time work, the podcast, and mental health issues. BUT WE FINALLY FINISHED FEAST OF FATES! AHHHH we had so much to say! Things exploded in the final quarter of the book, giving all of us more than we were hoping for, including an epilogue that killed us!

Welcome to the Roadside Reads Bookcast! Be warned, there is foul language! Oopsie doodle! Technical difficulties have led to this week’s podcast being a day late! Sadly, it’s also a dollar short as the podcast was one of our shorter ones, coming in at just over half an hour. Mostly due to the fact that […]

Welcome to the Roadside Reads Bookcast! Be warned, there is foul language! We start getting to the meat of the book as characters go forth and mingle with one another and the world. Lulu has a frighteningly disturbing favorite character, Decon reads ahead, Helga hates a man, and Ally has a hopeful dream for her […]

Welcome to 2017! We start the new year off with a strong book, Feast of Fates by Christian A Brown! There is a trigger warning for r ^ p e so please keep that in mind. Things do get serious in the conversation, but we're still silly for most of it, talking about the invention of umbrellas. Post show will go up later today for patreon sponsors!

We end 2016 with a podcast featuring our favourite reads of the year! This one is full of goodies that had me adding more books to my ever growing TBR pile and I'm sure will to yours as well!
